I've been a regular customer of this grocery store in The Heights for almost four years, but a recent experience left me very disappointed. I purchased a milk carton that was spoiled (the carton was visibly puffed). When I returned it, the staff initially agreed to exchange it, but the manager later refused, citing a 'final sale' policy on dairy. After some discussion, they only offered a 50% refund, which the owner emphasized was a huge favor and a significant loss for them.
However, what really upset me was discovering that they put the returned, spoiled milk carton back on the shelf to resell to other customers. When I questioned this, they tried to cover it up and deny it. It's not a loss for the store if they’re just reselling the same bad product to someone else, and I'm essentially paying for nothing.

I particularly appreciated the emphasis on fresh and healthy options, with plenty of locally-sourced produce and sustainable choices. It was clear that the staff took pride in their work, as they were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help me find what I needed.
Overall, I would highly recommend fresh central grocery to anyone looking for a reliable, convenient, and enjoyable grocery shopping experience. Whether you're in a rush or taking your time, this store has everything you need to make healthy and delicious...
Read moreI went for the reason of getting halal chicken because it is written that they have halal chicken. He gave me chicken and I was just about to leave but as I’m leaving I see that they got a delivery of chicken (not halal). I work with halal food, I know what’s halal and not. I saw him bring in like 10 boxes of non halal meat. So if you’re looking for halal meats/chicken, this is not the spot to find it. I’ve seen chicken in stop&shop for 94 cents and he has it “halal” for 3 dollars. The service is bad and at first they didn’t want to give me my money back and they were rude about the situation. I don’t want any problems but I could easily go to the city and get his...
