Garden State — Restaurant in Jersey City

I am sick so I thought it would be easy to have food delivered. I ordered from Beyond Menu and my food was supposed to arrive at 6:53. It is now 7:42. The delivery guy called me at 7:30 and said he was outside by the tree. He was not outside by a tree on my street. I heard a man say "Delivery?" so I am not sure if he was delivering someone elses food or about to give my food to someone else. Beyond dissapointed. He hung up after saying "just one second". I called him back and asked if he is still going to deliver my food ....

....Well he just got here thankfully. I had more of a tip for him but after all this craziness I ended up just giving him a dollar that I had wadded up and the only reason I gave that to him is because it is cold outside. Well he made sure to stand on the stairs and unravel it to see how much it was. I walked away before he could say anything because based on a couple reviews here I see they complain if they think it is not enough. This was not his night to complain about receiving money from me.He would have received a good tip if it wouldn't have been almost an hour late.

Also the food is not good at all. Is the chicken even cooked all the way? The noodles retain the shape of the box when placed on a plate. Surely eating this will make your stomach sick. Stay far away! I can't make...

Service is Nice and easy.. they take time as you give them your order ..the deliveries are quick..food is hot upon delivery..delivery persons are always” Polite” Their food tastes great..as you can tell when ordering deep fried chicken wings..egg /shrimp rolls..Sweet& Sour Chicken Pork that they put in the fry basket tastes like it should because they change their oil when needed … some Chinese restaurants don’t change their oil in these hard times..Mostly tried everything on their menu. I’ve been a customer a long, long time. Cleanliness is great..BUT ! they need to get some other zero sodas on hand not diet quite a difference in taste when your a soda drinker cherry zero would be nice When your in the mood for Authentic Chinese food this is the place to go...

It's typical Chinese food, although a little greasier than most. They also tend to use a lot of corn starch and MSG. So if you don't like really thick slimy food, or terrible MSG headaches, this is not the place for you. Also, it takes about an hour to get an order for 4 people. I don't know why they cook so slowly. It's Chinese fast food. And don't sit there to eat. Either their kids are doing homework on the sticky tables, or they're having a family dinner. (And it's not the same food they serve, which is scary...) Unless you're absolutely starving and everything else within 5 miles is closed, I'd say avoid...
