READ THIS BEFORE GOING TO THIS PLACE. If you do, CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU PAY.

I came here a couple weeks ago to celebrate a friend’s engagement and I’ve never had a worse experience than this one. The view is great and all but the service was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.

First of all, the food took a million years to come to us. We got some of our order after one hour, and waited a little bit thinking the rest would come, but it didn’t. I’m a very patient person, so I let it slide and just let someone who worked there know that we’re still missing some of our food. After another hour, some more food came but still not our entire order.

I made the mistake of leaving my tab open and when I went to close it out.. there was a bunch of double charges and even charges for the food we never received. I thought to myself, “it’s fine.. It’s just a little mistake.. let me just ask them to fix it.” When I asked them to take a look VERY NICELY, a bartender who never even took the table’s order started yelling at me for a good 20 minutes saying I was lying and looked like she was ready to fight me. I’m out celebrating my friends’ engagement, why would I be out here trying to cause a scene?! One of the ladies working there was a tad bit nicer and did fix the issue, but the other girl never apologized for getting loud with me. Here I was trying to explain the situation and she was talking over me, and the entire bar was listening in. I still left a tip because I’d feel bad if I didn’t, but boy I really shouldn’t have. Horrible service, never going back and will most definitely let all my friends and family know how awful...

Where can I start? Last night I went to this place with probably 10 of my friends, the rooftop is nice and has an amazing view, the food was very good and the drinks, even though they were pricey, were decent. The worst happened at the end when we were about to close tabs and pay. The lady, who she said was the owner, came up with 3 extra tabs, one of them opened with my name and two other names we didn’t know who they were. She said that people from our table opened tabs and were ordering but she doesn’t remember faces or who did it. First of all, I would never do that! If I open a tab, I am going to make sure to close it and pay for it, and my friends are also the same way. It was embarrassing the way she talked to us, pretty much saying we are lying and that we don’t want to pay and there’s a God watching everything. I came to this place to celebrate my birthday but I am so disappointed with the way me and my friends were treated, I have never received this kind of treatment In any place I have been to and I will just say this, I’m not coming back to this place and I will make sure none of my friends go there and PEOPLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE PAYING. Management here...

Be prepared to check your receipt to make sure this restaurant doesn't overcharge you. Misleading pricing. We dined in recently and were told by the waitress to use the website online. The prices on their website are less, but we were charged $2-4 extra for each item, and we ordered a lot of food, and we ended up spending a great deal more than we had planned. No one told us that their online prices (on their website) are incorrect. I brought this to the manager's attention, and she said it's a known issue with the IT for their website, but said she could not reimburse us for the misleading charges. This is very tacky. It doesn't sound like they plan on fixing this issue anytime soon either. She said we were the first to bring this to her attention, which means they've been overcharging people for a while.

Their onion rings and coconut shrimp are clearly not made in house, frozen, and microwaved. We actually returned the onion rings because they were served cold (not even fried). Their pizza suffers because their sauce is literally flavorless. Add a little salt at least! Probably the worst margherita pie we've ever had. Do...

Paulie's makes a strong drink, but what really made me keep coming year after year around spring/summer is because a lot of people aren't aware that they have a rooftop option that looks spectacular at night. Once they open around 7PM, they will walk you out of the building to a different entrance with an elevator. Once you're up, you have a breath-taking view of the Manhattan Skyline and some really strong, cold drinks to enjoy it with. They also put a lot of their drinks into a bag, which makes for a really interesting experience in and of itself.

Good service, menu is pretty basic and simple. I’m a huge pizza lover and I was very open to trying it but instead I chose to save my appetite for pizza masters (my favorite). Nothing bad to this place just not for me. But we would totally come back here to eat and watch a game. Very enjoyable for a football game. I love that they have outlets to charge phones. The bar and restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly.

The rocket scientist they have delivering their food carried the pizza sideways, like it was a newspaper, under his arm. He swung the mozzarella sticks I ordered around so that they were loose in a dirty shopping bag, covered in marinara sauce, when they got to me. I used to love this place, but clearly they don’t care anymore. And there’s no shortage of good pizza places in Jersey City. So I guess I don’t either.
