Peachtree Suites is a conveniently located hotel in Jersey City, just steps away from the Journal Square PATH metro station. This makes it incredibly convenient for getting around to various tourist spots or anywhere else in the area once you understand the New Jersey and New York metro systems.
The rooms are suites, equipped with a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and plenty of kitchen utensils. While I didn't use them, it's reassuring to know they were available.
However, there was one issue I encountered with the refrigerator constantly shutting off, requiring me to reset the GFCI outlet controlling the circuit. This resulted in some items spoiling, which was unfortunate.
The staff were friendly and provided good service. I felt very comfortable during my 7-day stay.
One thing worth noting is the abundance of dining options in the area, including shops and pharmacies, so you can easily purchase whatever you need without venturing far.
Regarding noise, I didn't experience any issues despite reading some comments about it. Perhaps I was fortunate with timing, although it's worth noting there are several construction projects underway across from the hotel, which...
Read moreCouldn't find the place.I normally cross the George Washington Bridge into Manhattan and park near Central Park.On a recent trip,I wanted to save money by parking here, and taking the PATH train into Manhattan.I should have stuck with my normal routine,as I would have missed out on being lost for two hours, driving through the Newark ghetto, and fighting horrendous traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike.Even on my second attempt to find the station, after asking directions from a New Jersey Turnpike toll booth attendant, the place was nowhere to be found.Beware,if you use Google directions to find any place in New Jersey, the street and exit signs will say something totally different than what Google directions tells you. This has been the case on several occasions.New Jersey is like the Bermuda Triangle, you WILL get lost in there. The only difference is,you will make it out of there, and be...
Read moreI have used this station to get to Newyork city so many times and it required multiple changes. During rush hours it gets way too crowded.
The PATH Journal Square Station in Jersey City is a functional and well-located transit hub, but it’s not without its downsides. It’s quite busy, especially during rush hours, and can feel overcrowded at times. The station itself is generally clean, though some areas could use a little more maintenance.
One of the issues is the limited signage, which can make it a bit confusing for first-time travelers. The trains are usually on time, but there can be occasional delays or disruptions. The platform can feel cramped when it’s crowded, making it less comfortable to wait.
Overall, it’s an average experience. Convenient, but it could definitely use some improvements to make it more user-friendly and less stressful...
