I’ve been going to this park for 6 years. And throughout the years it’s dwindled with the dog park. Irresponsible pet owners bringing their reactive and aggressive dogs in. My dogs were attacked on two separate occasions same day by a golden retriever. My dogs have been trained extensively for friendly socialization with all dogs, humans, and other pets. Not once have they ever attacked or been aggressive with any dog nor dominant. This dog gashed open the face of one of my dogs and injured the ear and paw of my other boxer lab mix. No one helped me in breaking up the fights, and when I yelled out who’s dog it was no one responded everyone just looked at me in silence. This dog also injured my roommate and made him bleed who was attempting to break up the fight. People don’t take accountability for their dogs and clearly enable this behavior. One gentlemen tried to assure me “it happens” no it should not especially at a dog park. CONTROL AND TRAIN YOUR DOGS OR THEY CAN AND WILL BE EUTHANIZED BY GEORGIA LAW. I will be filing a police report to find out the gentlemen whose dog caused this and will be filing a complaint to the directors of newtown park. Completely...
Read moreNewtown Park is truly the crown jewel of Johns Creek—it offers something spectacular for every age and interest, making it an essential community gathering spot. The highlights for us are the incredible amenities. The Newtown Dream Dog Park is easily one of the best in the state (and was recently ranked highly by USA Today!), featuring artificial turf, water features, and separate areas for small and large dogs to play safely. For humans, the two miles of walking trails are perfect for a scenic stroll or run, and the sheer number of courts—from tennis and basketball to bocce and six dedicated pickleball courts—means there's always an athletic activity to jump into. Beyond sports, the park serves the whole community beautifully. You have the Veterans Memorial Walk for quiet reflection and the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater for hosting fun events like the Summer Concert Series. With excellent playgrounds for kids and the Park Place Senior Center nearby, it’s a space where multiple generations can enjoy the outdoors at the same time. The park is consistently clean, well-maintained, and offers plenty of parking and pavilions. A fantastic resource for...

There is also an area where the kids can make music link to the playground for older kids. They have a lot of equipment that really helps gross and finding motor skills get a workout. They also have an event space with bathrooms and outdoor speakers that's included in the area and they offer various sports such as soccer, lacrosse, and baseball.
