I sincerely hope this makes it way to the owner or manager .
Our family went to Village Burger tonight after a very long time away from there, but we had hopes for the same quality we used to get when we went before. My husband was really excited and thought about it all day long.
Upon arriving, we noted that the entire place needs a deep clean and the walls and booths really need painting. The tables are sticky and need to be cleaned with some kind of detergent.
We ordered our food, two burgers and fries and a 12 pack of wings. My husband also had a beer. $49 plus tip, our food was delivered. While we waited for our food , my husband and I both went to the bathroom the men’s and women’s were both fairly gross looking and the walls definitely need painting on the way back to the bathrooms, including the bathroom itself.
While waiting for our food, we witnessed the staff throwing straws at one another hitting each other with spatulas, and this one girl was particularly dressed in very skimpy shorts that hugged her butt so tightly I was embarrassed for my son to wait for his ice cream at the counter.
The ice cream was poured into a cup, but the toppings were kept in a small refrigerator wine style down below in the large Tupperware containers, so I don’t believe those were fresh ingredients. The advertised M&Ms were actually crushed pieces. When the girl made the ice cream and added the toppings, then she put it under a blender style and half the toppings went flying everywhere.. keep in mind we’re waiting for the ice cream standing at the bar and her short shorts were the only thing I could focus on giving her shorts were so tight. She then proceeded to add more ice cream to the top to make it huge and then add more toppings of the crushed M&M’s on top. Meanwhile, the guy that was standing at the bar was flirting with her in front of us.
We never saw a manager, but we did see one older kid do sweeping of the front area briefly. Otherwise the staff was standing around behind the bar/ordering table throwing straws at each other while the cooks seemed to be working.
We won’t be returning to this location and highly suggest a manager get in there to witness behaviors check out their place have a deep clean done and paint the walls and booths. It’s pretty disgusting in there.
Oh, I forgot to mention the food. My husband is a wing fanatic and he definitely did not care for the wings. He said how can you mess up wings they’re fried and you just toss them in sauce. My son said his burger was OK. A plain cheeseburger no toppings, but the fries were under salted and soggy. My Swiss burger was OK. The best part was the pickles on the side.
Feel free to experience it yourself, but you will have...

All subsequent takeout orders poor.
Last previous order, had to throw the fries out. They were dry and hard, maybe pre-frying them and refrying them just to heat up when they get an order or just old fries heated up again. They were inedible! Also have to keep an eye out on your takeout order, since during busy times, your order can be mixed up within a row of other pickup order bags. Being in the industry and owning several restaurants in the past, they need a better system or communication between staff on orders waiting by customers in-store, phone pickups, door dash, etc.
Today's visit: Tried them again since my kid likes the place. Fries was decent but cold. Absolutely worst service and it was a slow period. One table waiting on food and by the time I ordered at the counter and sat down waiting on takeout, the table was served and it seemed they only had my order to fill. There were five people working behind and around the counter, I kept periodically looking over to the passthrough window to see what the progress was. The girl who took my order was chatting away with another coworker. 15 minutes pass by, I decide to ask what the status was. The girl who took my order grabs a bag tucked closer to the end by the register, which was not visible from the tables on my end and reads the ticket, which was my order that has been sitting there for some time which the she never called out my name or order. I understand other coworkers not being aware of who ordered what, but the cashier who took my order should pay some attention to the orders she takes, it's not like you're busy. Her lack of attention and being completely oblivious to customers that are waiting on orders that she took from, is completely ridiculous. This is the last time I waste my money, including tip and my time...
Read moreI wasn't very hungry, so I just ordered the Village Burger without sides. The restaurant has an interesting way of ordering burgers, and most of the toppings are customize-able. First, you choose a burger, either The Village (2 patties), Village w/ cheese (2 patties w/ cheese), the House (1 patty), and the same w/ cheese. They also have a veggie, turkey, and chicken sandwich option, but I was there for the burger. For toppings and condiments, I got lettuce, tomato, pickles, raw onions, and green pepper, with ketchup and spicy mustard on top.
The wait was a bit long since there weren't any customers (~10 minutes). The burger finally arrived, dripping grease everywhere (could be a good or bad thing). The portion size was pretty good, larger than the burgers at Burger 21, and roughly the same size as the ones at SmashBurger. Starting from the top, the white bun. It was dry and flaky, didn't hold up well after soaking up all the grease. A lot of the other reviewers complained that the bun isn't fresh, which now seems understandable. The patties didn't meet my expectations. Firstly, it was under seasoned. At the very least, I expect a burger patty to be properly seasoned with salt and pepper, to bring out more of the flavor of the meat. In turn, the burger didn't have much of a taste. In addition, the patties were crumbly, and chunks easily broke off when I was eating the burger. Moving on, the tomatoes, onions, and green peppers were fresh, and the lettuce was very nice, almost like a butter lettuce consistency. The veggies were probably my favorite part of the burger, which is kind of a sad thing. My friend ordered onion rings, so I tried one. I ended up getting one with the outer onion layer (the tough fibrous layer), pretty much unacceptable. The other ones looked fine, so I probably have...
