We have tried this place twice. The first time we had the tacos del , barrio, and the Birria tacos . The Birria consume was bland and greasy, the tacos were just OK but the bad consume kind of ruins that dish. The three tacos for the tacos del bario dish was Carnitas, owl, Pastor, and Carne Asada. The Carne Asada was pretty much tasteless and a little bit tough, the Carnitas taco was very fatty and a little greasy. The Al Pastor was the best one and actually wasn’t too bad. The rice has zero flavor. Yes it’s a red Mexican rice but you can’t even taste any tomato or onion like you should be able to and especially cumin. Where is the Cumin? Terrible rice and the beans had a weird burnt flavor to them and they were not very good either. The second time we had the Enchiladas Rancheras . It had a horrible red sauce that was sweet. It was so bad It ruined the entire dish. The margaritas were OK when we ordered them at the bar, they actually put tequila in them. The margaritas that we ordered at our table, however, had no tequila at all. This is very dishonest for a restaurant to pull that stunt. There were also people at our table, which was a very large group that mentioned it to the bartender and the bartender brought over some tequila and actually poured it in the drink. They didn’t argue about it at all because they knew they cheated the customer. We went, we tried it , we seen it and will never...
Read moreI was hungry and hadn't eaten breakfast. It was mid afternoon and the smell of this place called to me. We ordered Virgin Piña Coladas to drink with our chips. The bean dip was so good, but it had cheese in it and I can't eat cheese, so my husband got us some salsa from the salsa bar. He ordered plain bean burritos and I got two chicken chimichangas (spelling?). Our order came out just as we finished our chips (delicious!), hot and smelling tasty. The food was good. I really liked the guacamole on my lettuce and the rice was very satisfying. I couldn't finish everything but I ate enough that it didn't make sense to take the left-overs home. Our drinks were sweeter than we were used to and had a bit of a powdery taste to them. They were beautifully presented but I was surprised with the whipped topping on the drink. Of course I couldn't enjoy the whipped topping but I did drink what I could underneath the young. The atmosphere was really nice, not overly crowded and noisy, just very comfortable. I can't really say what it is that made us both agree that it was a nice experience and a good late lunch, but we don't want to return for...
Read moreDon Chente restaurant looks great, recently renovated was before O Charlie’s .. the bathrooms are very clean... the food is very good. But the only complaint I have is that the servers don't treat customers well. Sometimes the servers give you prices for some drinks and food, and then when they bring you the receipt, it's a different one... We had the experience of buying some strawberry daiquiri first, they charged us 2:50, then the next day they were already charging 5:50. The manager came back very angry..we talk to manager and explain about the server price before we ask for the strawberry daiquiri and she answered 2:50. 5/28/25 my wife and l get some lunch.. we ask to the server how much is the corn tortillas to go.. The gentleman answered 15 tortillas by hand for $5 ….. next day we want to get tortillas and then don’t sell by count of 15 now the sell by package of 4 for $2 is crazy
Is server doesn’t treat costumers right won’t come back and even...
