Disco burger has been on my list of places to try. I was super excited to go with my wife and daughter, after hearing from friends and neighbors about the best burger in town! Ordering was pretty easy I got double disco and a veggie burger with basket fries. told me it would be a 25 min wait ,so they took down my phone number and said they would text when the order was ready. After about 40mins and no text decide to check on the order it was indeed ready just no text. Finally after the long wait took my first bite excepting fireworks and pure joy, but was met with a very anti-climatic experience. The fries were tasty a little on the salty side but nice crunch and favor. I’d like to think I came on an off day and my experience isn’t the standard. I would like to highlight their non meat options for vegetarian/vegan folks like my wife it’s something for everyone. All and all if your in the river market and craving a burger give it a try not the best burger in town, but still solid and...

The service was fine. The varsity club is fine. Horrible food. Burger wasn’t exactly fresh and neither were the fries which is why the order was filled in 2 minutes and semi cold even though there was no line and reason for everything to be out that quick.

The fact people rave about this place to me and it won pop up of the year is just baffling. The main problem is this: so salty I had to stop eating it. Salty as a salt lick. Saltier than Taco Bell. Salty as if I dumped salt out on my palm for a tequila shot and licked it between bites. I’m not sensitive it was just that bad. And I used to think my friend that avoided salt was weird. Tasteless meat just covered in salt with salty cheese and then salty pickles. Sort of just flat and deflated, not really appealing to the eye. I see the people rating this best burger in KC must be drunk when they eat it which explains a lot since this place is at a bar. Drunk people will eat anything.

Go to Culver’s or Freddie’s or...

Tucked away in a cozy corner of Kansas City, this gem brings big flavor with a relaxed patio charm that's hard to beat. Specializing in smash-style burgers that strike just the right balance between crispy edges and juicy centers, this spot earns its stripes as a go-to for casual comfort food done right.

But while the burgers impress, it's the crinkle-cut fries that steal the show. Freshly made and served hot, each bite delivers a satisfying crunch followed by a tender, pillowy center. Expertly salted, they hit that magical note of simplicity and indulgence--earning them the crown as some of the best fries in town.

The inviting patio setup adds another layer of appeal. With string lights overhead, cheerful contemporary tunes humming softly in the background, and the golden Kansas City sun warming each table, it's an ideal hangout for spring afternoons. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or lingering with friends, the vibe here feels like a mini...

Attended a conference in Kansas & wanted a good burger. Googled & this place popped up. We got confused trying to find it. This burger truck is located in the back of the building. It seems to be a popular place. You can eat outside or inside the bar. I ordered the patty melt & a side of fries. My meal was $14.95. The burger was an ok size for me. If it was my husband, he would have been disappointed at the size. The burger was good, not only seasoned. There is something spicy on it I wasn't made aware of, nor is it indicated on the menu. My only other issue with the food was that my bread was hard around the edges. It's not really a big, tho. The fries were hot, crispy, & lightly salted. However, it was a bit of a wait. Maybe 20-30 mins... which I felt was kinda long for a burger & not worth the long wait. Not saying it wasn't good, just not 30 mins wait...good

Great food and an even better atmosphere. You can order ahead for slightly quicker service, but even with walk-in orders, we waited less than 10 minutes. Disco Burger truly knocks it out of the park. The burger was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and stacked just right. The patty melt was next-level: crispy, buttery bread, gooey cheese, and a rich, savory flavor that hit every note. And the fries? Golden, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. They keep the menu tight and focused, and it shows—they’ve absolutely mastered what they serve. You can tell there’s real care and pride in every bite. Highly recommend!
