Washington Square Park — Attraction in Kansas City

This a beautiful park WHEN the Parks and Rec for the Kansas City, MO area take care of it...it is a main hang out place for the homeless. With that said. The homeless seem to be kind and for the most part very much NOT confrontational. They seem to be most helpful if you are lost and need help on where to go. The ones that might seem confrontational are just having a bad day...lol. Please do not let that detour your plans to visit this historic Kansas City park. This beautiful park was finished during the completion of the Historic Union Station and Liberty Memorial. So grab your coat and get your hat...or a blanket and your picnic basket or from one of the wonderful restaurants in Union Station, Crown Center or Cross Roads Art District...and have your brunch, lunch or afternoon snack alfresco style in the cool breeze under the beautiful old trees most definitely on the sunny sides of these Kansas...

It is a nice park it's in a really good location between Union station and Crown Center so he gets a lot of traffic. Unfortunately though with the homeless situation there are quite a few individuals who are okay but ran across quite a few who are not really all together as I can say I can also say that at night time it's a good time not to go down there cuz there are rats running through there so I wouldn't be setting on the ground after the sun goes down because you don't know what kind of free critter might run up to you and say hey anyway but other than that it's a nice park just make sure if you're going to have a picnic there bring you a plastic tarp or sheet to lay across the ground and as I said the homeless situation and I'm not being disrespectful it's just some of them are cool some of...
