European Accents — Local services in Kansas City

The last time I had a layover here in Kansas City, I walked by this store and was so enamored by everything I saw through the windows!! Unfortunately, store was closed because I got there a little later. I saw merchandise from Sweden and Scandinavia that you cannot find anywhere else but those countries. Specifically the Moomintrolls. My daughter grew up with these stories, so when I saw them through the window I knew I had to come back! I was able to have a layover tonight and made it there before they closed! I can't tell you how amazing this store is! Natalie, the owner, was very kind and helpful. Showed up, first time in the store. Nobody greeted us when we walked. Hardly anyone in the store, we were looking at Alice and wonderland knock off version nutcrackers that btw were EXPENSIVE for not being legit Disney. And there’s no signs that say don’t touch. Immediately after I go to reach for something this lady comes up and says WHATRE YOU DOING?? all angry like. And we said we was tryna see the nutcrackers. She told us to ask so we did. Such a fabulous shop filled with beautiful items from around the world, many of which are handcrafted. If my suitcase had been big enough, I would be carrying a new set of Norwegian dishes and a gorgeous handmade nativity. I think it was that there were these little items here and there which made it so I looked more closely as I shopped so I wouldn't miss anything!
