Big Fish Cake Studio — Local services in Saco

Big Fish Cake Studio (Gabrielle) was the purveyor of our dessert table for our wedding - which included lovely cupcakes and the sweetest 2 tier "mini" cake! But 1st - let's talk about the process to get us to the wedding and - most importantly - the tasting!

We arrived at the studio and were met with the sweetest set-up and the best "vibe". A platter of mini cakes and a huge tray of buttercreams and fillings... um, say what?!?!?!?! We spent the next hour or so walking through different flavor combinations, talking about our favorite combos, etc... This was the most amazing experience and the main reason why we chose to move forward with Big Fish.

Gabrielle believes in what she is doing... she is passionate about cake and creating delicious moments for her customers... and she cares as equally about the aesthetic!

Fast forward to the wedding day... beautiful cupcakes with edible florals... and the sweetest cake. Gabrielle decorated the cakes so beautifully and masterfully placed the figurines we provided of our 4 legged family that could not be with us on the cakes, along with beautiful florals and so much beauty. The cupcakes were so delicious that Greg & I didn't get a cupcake... but that's a GOOD problem to have! We did have cake and it was absolute perfection.

We knew we wanted pies instead of cake, so when we found Big Fish Cake Studio and shared our thoughts with Gabby, we were absolutely thrilled to find that not only was she happy to make our wedding pies, but she also came up with some amazing ideas for summer pies! When we went to the tasting, I was completely floored by how delicious they all were. We had: lemon meringue pie w/ homemade graham cracker crust, mixed berry lattice pie, pear + apple + cardamom pie, chocolate cream pie, and my favorite: peach bellini pie! We actually ordered so much that we had plenty of pie for days afterwards (which I was actually glad for, because I didn't actually get to each much on the day!), and they held up really well even days later. I couldn’t recommend Big Fish Cake Studio/Gabrielle more highly. If you’d like to see what an artist Gabrielle is in her work, all you need to do is go to Big Fish Cake Studio’s Instagram page - her work is beautiful, unique for her clients, and truly artwork. What you can’t see is how delicious everything is. Big Fish Cake Studio made the cupcakes for our wedding and we ordered far more than we needed but there were absolutely no leftovers and multiple people admitted they ate more than one. Gabrielle was also a delight to work with. We approached Gabrielle pretty close to the date of our wedding about cupcakes and she was so kind and professional and somehow found the time to take us on and made everything super easy for us.
