Read moreThis was our first visit. We were introduced to Anson B. Nixon Park by one of our children and his wife who spoke enthusiastically about it. After our visit, we had to agree with them. My wife and I witnessed first hand the wide variety of activities offered here and we enjoyed seeing how much fun it was for four of our grandchildren (ages 2 through 10). Read moreGreat park located a short distance from the center of Kennett Square. I’m here mostly for the disc golf course which I’ve played many times and love. It’s tight and technical through the front 10 and then opens up for most of the rest of the course. The guys that maintain the course do an excellent job and there’s been considerable upgrades done since I first started playing here. Multiple tee pads and baskets on every hole.
Aside from the course there’s some nice walking/running trails, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, basketball court, picnic pavilions, a playground, and other amenities. A little bit of something for everyone. There’s a stage where they host concerts in the park that are a good time even if it’s raining. The park is a big part of what makes Kennett a great place to...
