I got the rib eye sandwich. $17. Of course I am thinking sliced ribeye. I was wrong. I would have preferred this rib-eye on a plate. It was a good roll but not a $17 sandwich roll. The roll was also too narrow. Everything kept sliding off the roll. Cutting the Tomato slice in half would have been a big help. The basil mayonnaise was very tasty. As a ribeye it was delicious. As a sandwich it was a miss. It came with french fries but even they were undercooked. I got a brownie. The brownie was delicious. The brownie was big. The brownie gave me a stomach ache because I ate it all at once and should have been two or three servings. Ironically the brownie helped me dollar cost average down the price of the meal.

I take a drive down from Atlantic City, NJ just to get a nice, juicy burger and fresh fries. Recommended to me by the local auto shop, Palita’s, and I’ve been going ever since. They toast the bread slightly and load it up. My favorite is lettuce, tomato, fried onions, and pepper jack cheese. I will continue to visit especially with the great customer service from Omar and Caroline !

Anytime I am in the area I stop in to get everything I need for a good home cooked meal. Quality of the meat is tough to beat and the selection is always great. Also have fantastic pantry items with local pastas, cheeses, cured meats etc. love using their Italian sausage in my pasta sauce.

My friends and I went to breakfast at the Country Butcher in Kenneth Square this morning as we have for years. They just completed a major renovation of the cafe cooking area…and unfortunately, the “breakfast” menu, which now consists of “breakfast sandwiches”. Want bacon and eggs? Your previous choice of 3 different omelets? How about an order of the best French toast you have ever tasted? Nope! No longer available. Gone…in favor of “gourmet” breakfast sandwiches. Half of the previously available fresh baked goods are also gone - replaced by cold cuts! I told the management I would not be back - and I was told to “have a nice day”. They apparently do not understand how much pass through business in the other departments will be lost as their breakfast business diminishes. It’s a real shame to see this happening to a long standing tradition in Kenneth Square. No, I won’t be back. And I will have “a nice day”, enjoying a traditional breakfast at “Hank’s”, just a few...

We’ve been living in Kennett Square for about two years now and we feel so fortunate to have the Country Butcher right in town. I would easily drive a half hour to visit. While a weekly staple for top notch meets and cheese they also have pizzas on Friday, a damn good eatery (try the desserts - yum yum) and a wide selection of fresh prepared and frozen foods. All kinds of sauces, jams and everything you need for a charcuterie board. You just have to go in and wander around - there’s a huge selection of stuff. Excellent cheese selection as well and the burger patties and sausages are top notch and a great value. Love this place. Thanks to the entire Country Butcher team - they make Kennet Square a...
