Manager chased my wife and daughters out of the store; I have no idea how many times we've been in that store or how much money we've spent, but on on December 20th my wife and daughter were shopping there and had waited in a very long line with only 3 checkers working. They were the second in line. Then the store manager calls the next person in line...the older lady in front of my wife tells her companion that she'll wait for the closest checker, and after waiting a few moments my wife walked over. My wife was tersely informed that she had asked for the NEXT person in line. She refused to serve my wife and daughter and told them to get to the back of the line. So they put the items down and walked out; this seemed to enrage the manager and she followed my wife and daughter out snapping pictures like they had done something wrong. We attempted to return on Dec 29th and she chased us out of the store making my wife feel physically unsafe. Do not shop here! Would give zero stars if it were possible. I have called their corporate office twice and have...
Read moreI came into the store to return broken frames that were mailed from the corporate website. My order came in three separate boxes, and over half the order was broken. Not knowing what to do, I took all three boxes to my local store.
The three employees working were incredibly helpful!
Isabella helped sort what was broken and what was not. John Michael helped find replacement frames that were available in the store. Natalia helped refund what was not able to be replaced. Since it was shipped in three separate boxes with three separate bar codes this was a very lengthy and complicated process. Natalia was kind, very helpful, and happy to help me through this complicated task. She kept calm under pressure when the line started to grow. Isabella was able to jump in an assist with checking out other during this time. I want to thank all three of these employees who were amazing caring and friendly! Thank you very much for making this situation better. I know it was a pain for y'all, but you made my night. I really...
Read moreI was looking for craft wood. Specifically, thin sheets of basswood or pine covered plywood. I reproduced two small boxes which are designed to contain small bottles of essential oils. "Craft shops" stock many pine or basswood boxes, trays and so forth but scarcely any wood to construct these items. Available stock is twelve inches or less in length and 4 inches in width.
Supply is driven by demand in most cases. Online searches for material was fruitless. The woodwork "craft" is obviously a lost craft. I found pine and Douglas fir in clear stock at Lowes. I lose a lot of material in planing it down from 1/2 inch thickness which is not conducive to small artistic items but is the only alternative I have found so far. Thin plywood was discovered at another craft supply.
I am probably one of the lone survivors of a time when small items were fashioned out of wood. Hundreds of items are available premade from China. Why make...
