We had a reservation for all the adults in my family to have dinner and celebrate my grandparents birthdays. We had a huge group (I think we capped out at maybe 24-25(?) I’m not really sure exactly. All adults, no kids.)
The restaurant set us up in a private room where everyone had a spot, and we could close the door and have our event privately. That was so nice as we could have our celebration and not disturb other customers and feel like we could do presents and pictures and have a small speech by a family member all by ourselves and not worry about disturbing other people in the restaurant. They were also super accommodating when we had to push our reservation forward an hour.
Our server, who I unfortunately did not get the name of but she had a cool accent, was fantastic. She patiently waited our large group for over two and a half hours during our multi-course meal, and ensured we had whatever we needed. Also the young server who helped her, who I also did not get the name of unfortunately, was fantastic as well.
The food was amazing! I got a gluten free pasta half red sauce and half white sauce, and holy moly the white sauce was fabulous! By far my favorite white sauce on pasta ever. The red sauce was also delectable too. Even the gluten free noodles were delicious!
The green salad was delightful, and the meat sampler appetizer was 5 stars. I myself can’t personally comment on the bread as I am gluten free and couldn’t eat it, but all my family members said it was amazing!
They were even able to get one family member his meal quickly while everyone was eating when he had to arrive late due to work after he called his wife and asked if he could come. The restaurant allowed his wife to order for him and had it ready when he arrived. Now that’s excellent service!
I would highly, highly recommend Bella Italia. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and cooked to perfection, and the fact we could have our party in a private, closed off space was the cherry on top. The atmosphere was awesome, and the price, while fairly expensive, was easy to manage with all of our family members pitching in.
Thank you so much to everyone at Bella Italia for making my grandparents special day a memorable and amazing event! We will definitely be excited to return if opportunity...
Read moreI’m really not one to post a negative review, however, when I arrived to Bella Italia I was kinda excited. The building from the outside looks stunning, like right out of little Italy. I walk in to what I thought was the front door, coming straight from the parking lot. I walked into someone’s living while they were eating in front of the tv that I was now blocking. It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. There was no where to stand, like a receiving area. I gave them my name for the reservation, they walked away, again leaving me in the middle of where everyone was eating, totally awkward. They took me to my seat, it was in the back room kinda place. There was a larger party in there and one other couple. There was also all their over flow for their paintings, large chairs , Christmas storage items, dying poinsettias, and other items that seemed to be storage items. The seat I was seated in was against that wall not leaving much room on the already too small table. Once seated they gave me two menus for their wine selection. I was under the impression that that was all they served for drinks. Granted, I never asked, but they never indicated anything either. We were given menus for food and never told about the specials. It wasn’t until we went to leave that we seen there were specials. The food we ordered was way less than desirable. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, meatballs we add-ons and were not even home made. Their bread was made off site and served cold. I would say that most items were purchased at various outlet stores and assembled at the restaurant. Of course I’m guessing based on the food taste and presentation. Salads were four slices of tomato and romaine lettuce with some sort Vinaigrette oil dressing. Every time we asked our waitress for something there was at least a 15 min delay before she would arrive back to us. She did apologize profusely tho. Even if the entry was weird and service was slow if the food would have been good it would have been fine. We understand it’s a trying time for everyone in the service based industry especially the food service. I’m hoping this isn’t the norm for Bella Italia and they find a way in these uncertain times to get back on track and put out good food with good service. I’m sorry I even have to give a...
Read moreCan't speak highly enough about this place. Tri-Cities is lucky to have a truly authentic Italian restaurant that embraces their food and cultural roots - how can you go wrong when the chef/owners themselves are from Italy? From the moment you step in it's a different scene from the lackluster pubs, loud chain restaurants, and the same old boring options in town. The lighting is dim, candles are always lit on every table, and hearing the chefs in the back prepare your meal while speaking in Italian just adds to the experience. You won't find boxed pasta or jar sauce here like Olive Garden, everything is homemade and tastes just as good if not better than the countless restaurants I've visited in Little Italy in NYC. Every Italian restaurant I've visited after eating here just doesn't compare. The consensus is usually "It was okay, but nothing like Bella Italia". The majority of the entrees are under $20 (I think they should charge more but can't complain) and not only are the portions more than generous, they are served with fresh salad and unlimited bread with homemade garlic butter (most places charge for that now). Service is never rushed, the atmosphere is romantic, and the food is fantastic. They don't skimp on anything here, every glass of wine is poured generously, mixed drinks are (very) strong, and every dish is large enough to have leftovers the next day. Every time that I've been lucky enough to have the owner (Nadine) as our server she goes above and beyond to make sure that our dinner and experience at her restaurant is memorable. She has often surprised my husband and I with complimentary desserts as she brings our check, even after she clearly sees we are miserable from eating too much lol! Not only is this my husband and I's "go to" date night spot, we've also held my company's Christmas parties here throughout the years, and I've never had a second thought on where to take my out of town clients for business dinners to impress them with exceptional food, incredible Italian wine, and an atmosphere that is relaxed, not rushed, and embraces authenticity in a town that lacks options for such things. I'll continue to support this rare gem and recommend them...
