I thank the Greensboro staff for salvaging what was going to be a very horrible birthday gift to myself and my first massage in like 15 years. I scheduled an appointment with the kernersville staff on my birthday on April 25th and got a confirmation email. However when I showed up for my appointment, I was told that there was no record that I had an appointment and was not offered an appointment later in the day or even later in the week for the obvious system failure! The lady basically shrugged and said sorry.
I stood outside for quite a bit, birthday feeling ruined and feeling defeated. I almost just said screw it and drove into work. Why take a day off when your day is ruined? As a last ditch effort, even though the kernersville lady told me that the Greensboro office did not have availability either, I decided to call the Greensboro office myself. I was upset and I never take time off for just myself and I never get to do anything for myself like this.
The Greensboro staff was exactly the opposite of my experience at kernersville. They offered me an appointment if I could get there in the next 25 minutes which was difficult but I made it and they made my day better. The facility is 10 times nicer anyway and the reception and front desk people were 10 times better as well. I won't even waste time going to the kernersville one even though I have used them for waxes many times and I had good experiences with the wax people. I just won't go because of the front desk person now. No customer service.
I wrote a complaint and sent in a copy of my confirmation and no one has reached out or said anything about my experience on April 25th at the kernersville location so I guess they just don't care.
Anyway, if you decide to book, do the Greensboro office. The kernersville one is in a food Lion parking lot next door to a Panera so it's not really a full spa experience. I was so looking forward to having a massage today after having a really long, really hard week. I drive all the way to Kernersville for my appointment and they gave my appointment away because they are having issues with their website. THAT ISN'T A GOOD EXCUSE!!! In this day in age, all businesses should have a functional website, especially if they encourage their clients to book through the website. All the receptionist could say was "Sorry, but we will give you 10% off next time." I highly doubt that I will ever go back to BDS ever again. I still don't know why I was turned away instead of the people who booked after me. Not good business practices BDS!
I could have been home, with my daughter at 12. Instead, I got home at 3:30 after instantly being turned away by the receptionist because they are incapable of maintaining a functional website and schedule. After having a terrible week, I decided to treat myself to a massage, it was the one thing that I was looking forward to that helped me through the week. Because of BDS I lost 3.5 hours that I could have spent with my daughter. I lost 3.5 hours that I could have used to study for an exam coming up. I could have had my hair done, but opted for a massage instead. I lost 85 minutes of driving time, yes I live 40 mins from their facility. I lost 80 miles of milage and gas to drive there just to drive back. If I ever thought about giving BDS another chance, I would need a lot more that just 10%off. More like 80-100% an actual apology and a plan for how they plan to fix their website issues so that it doesn't happen again.
