Food Lion — Attraction in Kernersville

Food Lion stores in the Kernersville area, including this store on South Main Street in Kernersville, make buying an advertised product way too complicated with requiring a membership card scan in the store to get a coupon which then said card is again scanned at the checkout with the payment. It was already in the printed flyer. Seriously poor marketing strategy. Anyone over 55, which are the majority of the customers here, don't like the multi-step digital need to buy an already advertised product. People see the sale item in the newspaper, come into the store, then have to twice scan their Food Lion MVP membership card at two different locations before paying for the item. Additionally, the customer service assistant (a young woman) at the checkout has zero service skills. Instead of explaining the reason for the digital requirements, she instead immediately makes it personal with the customer. Not good. Better customer service training by store management is...

I was surprised at how much Food Lion has changed and it looks and some price are lower than they use to be. It was clean. I didn't like how the item on sale was conveniently out of stock and no substitutes. I wasted my gas and time

May 25, 2021 I am thankful 🙏 to you foodlion I have been sick and my legs are damaged, but foodlion has been there to provide pickup and delivery to me at a low price. I didn't know how much I depended on these services until my legs got really bad. They offer reasonable prices and services, I can afford because I live on a fixed income. Thank you FOODLION for being there for me, and thank the employees for shopping my order right every time. I believe foodlion may become my #1 favorite store.

I wasn’t going to do a review, but it’s the 3rd time I have experienced the same attitude & rudeness from the same cashier! It’s always about a hour til close & she’s short blonde hair & glasses! She does not obviously enjoy her job or anything bc she just scans your items no greeting or anything & I had an issue with my mvp number she just said I should go to the self scan and make a new one and didn’t even try to scan a mvp card!
