I had the worst and I mean the absolute worst shopping experience ever at Kohl's! I don't shop for things that I want very often but occasionally especially if there is a sale on something that I have been wishing for for over two years I indulge a little. I am a single mom correctional officer so it's really rare for me to splurge. Kohl's had the Insta Pot on sale and I have wanted that thing for years. I wanted it so bad that the kids are always pointing them out when we go somewhere. So I made the purchase on my way into work today. I receive an email shortly before I get to shift that my order was cancelled! There is a phone number on the email to contact customer service. Well I have very limited time at this point and I don't have my credit card with me as it's a security violation, can't bring stuff like that around inmates. I get told that the order was cancelled because my billing address wasn't right but I can re-order it. I don't have time at this point so I go to work. When I get my break I try to re-order it per the customer service lady's advice and lo and behold Kohl's is forcing me to put in a forgot password link, I haven't forgotten my password, I like my password and I feel a bit violated by being forced to change it when there is nothing wrong with mine. I call customer service again. Correctional officer means one 15 minute break so this needs to be quick, the lady states that my order was cancelled, and I was locked out of my account because Kohl's randomly selects people to verify that they are who they say they are and to verify that the best course of action is to piss them off apparently. So now that I am thoroughly annoyed, frustrated, violated, and feeling a bit discriminated against at this point. I ask her "how do we fix this?" So she tells me, "oh you have to go into Kohl's with two forms of ID to prove who you are. Are you freaking serious? I mean the whole point of online shopping is so that I don't have to drive to the next town over to buy something and I can continue trying to keep my kids fed while never seeing them because I'm busy working a dangerous job for way too many hours to make sure they stay fed. Then she says oh, I can send you a text to prove you are who you say you are. I say "ok, can we do that please?" Then she apologizes and says oh, we can only do that if there is public records and there doesn't seem to be any. I have had the same damned number for three years so I'm not sure what she wants from me but at this point I have to get back inside and now I'm just irritated beyond belief. I'm irritated so much that I am calling all 127 officers on shift to tell them what Kohl's is doing to me. I just got home from work and I finally did the forgot password link even though I haven't forgotten it. It's left a very manipulated feel to things for me. I don't believe I'll ever shop Kohl's again. I'm pretty angry still. I re-tried my order, and it was cancelled again. I'll probably become the biggest anti-Kohl's advocate there is. I have never felt as disrespected as a customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the absolute worst experience at this Sephora today. Which is even out of the norm for what I've experienced previously at this store. I was treated as if I was lying & scamming for a return that I genuinely just needed because the product was horrible. I recently purchased a lot of products from the Haus Labs line and I'm not one to do returns on makeup or anything in general, so I threw away the receipt & packaging on the eyeliner. Now I only do a full face of makeup once a week so I tried this eyeliner out a week after purchase. Everything was fine. Then tried it out a week later and it was absolutely dried out. I did research to figure out if maybe I was using it wrong, but even shaking the stick didn't help much. I called into the store and had a lovely conversation with someone super kind that informed me this was a common issue with the product and that they should be able to accommodate a return. I went in today, a week after the phone call, and they were able to look up my purchase on the computer. Everything was great until one of the girls opened the eyeliner and suddenly got very snippy with me about it not being gently used. Which I had only actually gotten to use it the once, then when I tried again it wouldn't create a line barely at all because it was dry. She said "This is completely dried out, you only used it once?" which was the whole reason I was returning it. Then she said "I do this everyday" as if I was trying to pull one over on them. She made me give her my hand where she proceeded to draw on my hand with the eyeliner, which showed it was in fact super dry & could barely get a grey line out. She was incredibly condescending, rude, and was treating me as if I was a teenager (I'm a nearly 30 year old woman...) trying to scam them when in all reality this was a $30 eyeliner I was only able to actually use once. I have never been talked to this way and I work in customer service so I always treat people with the utmost respect & kindness whenever I go anywhere so it wasn't like I was being rude. There was absolutely no reason for her to talk to me like that. I would never talk to a customer like that, ever. I got my return after standing my ground and standing up for myself which is the only reason this is a two star review. Its really sad because I've had great customer service here previously and now I feel really uncomfortable thinking of ever even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is not a direct comment towards this particular store, as I have not had any previous problems with this location. However, the company itself are a bunch of thieves! I purchased a great deal of clothing around Christmas time and received Khols Cash ($50 worth). I realized it was about to expire (since they give you virtually no time to actually spend it). So I decided to make a purchase on-line with it. I purchased 2 pairs of pants in January of 2014. I still paid about $12 OOP and that was fine. I received 1 pair of pants about a week or so later. However, as of today, 4/26/14, I still have not received the other pair. In fact, it STILL says partially shipped. Now really, come on? Of course, even if they would cancel it (which at this point they should have already done that), I would still end up losing all my khols cash. I was already disappointed in the first pair of pants I received. I have never even worn them. They were horribly illustrated online and were a complete and utter waste of money. But, I figured with the jeans I had ordered, I would still only be getting them for $12..so no biggie. However, now that I have realized they are a bunch of thieves who have seriously let a order of 1 pair of jeans still in a "partially shipped" status for 5 months with no reasonable explanation from customer service, I realized I have been completely ripped off. I will NEVER shop with your company and I will make sure that the word is spread on how absolutely terrible of a company you...
