I'm writing this now as it is still fresh in my memory. I just left office max. Bought a desk. Spent good money. As I approached the cashier she asked for my number. I said (nicely) no thank you I'm all set. She stared at me and asked again. I thought maybe she didn't hear me. She was snippy this time. I repeated myself. She asked again. 3x now mind you. I then told her sorry I don't give out my number. She then had an obvious attitude with me. She asked if I wanted a buy 2 get one free deal going on. I said no thank you. She asked if I wanted to buy a warranty. I said no thank you. She made a comment about how I just turned down 3 offers now..as if I did something wrong. She stood there starring at me. I was very close to walking out and not buying this desk at this point. Except for the fact Michael(an employee who was helpful and friendly) was right there ready to load it into the truck. What happened to friendly customer service? I asked her her name. She said Jessica. This is the kingsport store. I left feeling regretful for doing any...
Read moreOn Friday, April 5, 2024 I went to Office Depot in Kingsport, TN to have a very important business-related, marketing manual printed. I ran into several problems with the job (too many to list here) but was literally "saved" single-handedly by an employee named Sara (who worked at the copy center). I thought I was gonna be royally screwed... because I had a very tight deadline that I needed to meet. Long story short... Sara fixed all the issues I was having... helped print out the marketing manual in a timely fashion... so I was able to meet my deadline. Sara is obviously a savant when it comes to fixing problems related to printing... as she fixed my "mess" in record time. Whatever you guys are paying that girl... it ain't enough (in my opinion). Give that kid a raise!! Your copy center gets a 5-star rating from me. I'll be doing business with you guys for a long time. Very...
Read moreIt seems like the staff need more training and information about the printing shop. The staff at the Johnson City location were very helpful and had no issues printing my custom business cards. My husband and I run a vinyl sticker printing shop and know our way around the software, but the woman at the front refused to listen to us even after it was made clear she couldn't align the print correctly. She said that it normally takes 5 days to print 200 business cards. I was informed at the Johnson City location that this is not true, and in fact it took them all of 30 minutes. She complained about having 4 more printing jobs that night, while I watched the Johnson City staff help 5 other customers while they were helping us. She couldn't even connect my hard drive correctly without help. That should have been my first sign not to waste any...
