88 Kirkland Salon — Local services in Kirkland

I have gone through a lot of salons in the area until I found 88 Kirkland salon. Recently I got a Brazilian blowout and haircut done by Susan. She did an amazing job with the blowout. There were some issues with my haircut after the blowout because it changed on my hair texture (made it smoother finer). I messaged the salon, they got me in the very next day, and Susan fixed my hair at absolutely no extra cost. She's a wonderful person and when somebody does something like this, you know you're definitely coming back so I am a permanent customer for the salon they are wonderful.

Update: 6/5 I decided not to go back to this salon again due to the really rude behavior of there receptionist. We are all humans and we make mistakes. For example my usual stylist Regina messed up my haircut completely, not once but twice when the second time was meant to fix the first time cut. I did not want to change my previous 5 star review for this as mistakes happen. Similarly today I had an appointment that I could not make and forgot to give them a heads up even though I meant to do so first thing this morning. But the way the receptionist spoke to me and banged the phone in my face abruptly even after I said sorry multiple times is not the kind of behavior I will tolerate from anybody, leave alone a professional. So I chose to go to this place because it had such great reviews and it was close to school. I was really nervous already because I worked at a salon and spa for six years in Ohio (in the spa) and I am pretty aware of what a good cut and color looks like. Plus it was in such a nice spot in Kirkland that I thought it had to be nice. I should have known it was a bad sign when I could get in so quickly. Well established stylist usually are not wide open that day and the next day when scheduling the appointment. And then I found out it was the owner which really was a bad sign. I asked for a long bob with balayage highlights. I showed a couple a pictures and she just kept saying, "ya ya ya ya ya." Man, even sitting in the chair watching her cut made my stomach turn because I knew it was a bad cut job in the making. It didn't even look like a bob for one thing, just really choppy layers which I didn't even want. The front was uneven as well as the back. The owner, Susan should not be running a business. Products she reccomended were grossly overpriced and were watered down, I found out too late and she wouldn't allow returns! I got a foil from Susan and Brazilian blow out from katie. Katie is awesome!!! My hair was great that one time but after that Susan couldn't get the color right and then tried to convince me her (mistake) looked better on me. I paid for it but said I'd come back to have it corrected. Then when I returned she screwed it up worse along with chopping up my hair when I asked for a little trim! I was going on vacation so I was very upset but when I complained, her (normally fine) English suddenly disappeared and she couldn't speak or understand a word of it!! I was disgusted! She went in the back and got her cousin to give me the $211 bill as she scurried out the door. He said his only job was to take payment and he didn't know what was going on but he'd give her the message that I was "displeased" and have her call me. She didn't.
