Update: 4/8/25
I am happy with my mattress. However, the motors for the platform seem very slow and under powered. We had some slight issues with getting our mattress protector. The salesman ( Carlos) had apologized for not giving it to us when we left the store after we placed our order. It was supposed to be delivered with the bed which the guy forgot. Not a big deal. He was very polite and set everything up. Things happen. What bothered me is that I had no way to contact him. I realized this minutea after he left. If i had the trucks number on that delivery date he could have turned around and dropped off the mattress protector. When i called the atore to try and get it back they didnt try to contact the truck and honestly, were kind of confused about what to do. They told me they would call back and never did. I reached out to Carlos and he said he would take care of it and when my wife went to go pick it up, the front desk had no clue that we were picking anything up. When Carlos called us to see how things went I told him and he was surprised and assured us he let the front desk know. I feel like there is a lack of communication within departments. They need a better system for sure. I dont blame Carlos at all he was very helpful through it all.
My wife and I visited on 3/29/25, and decided to purchase a new mattress as well as a sofa and loveseat. Our whole day consisted of shopping around at multiple stores to find what suited us the best. When we arrived at Gardner White we were immediately greeted by Carlos and he asked what we were interested in and toured us around the store. He not only showed us where to look but answered any questions we had. He helped us pick out exactly what we were looking for and we even decided to upgrade to an adjustable foundation as well. He was funny, polite and easy to talk to. I normally am not a fan of most sales reps because they are pushy but he was very knowledgeable and helpful with our purchase and very considerate when my wife and I need to be alone to discuss options. He was patient with my wife because she had to try every mattress in the store. He sat by and explained the pros and cons of each mattress which utlimately led to us buying more than planned and for good reason. We had a great time talking with him and it is one of the biggest reasons we chose to buy from Gardner White. We found similar products at other stores but, it was Carlos's customer service that sold us. If I returned, I will only purchase from him. We need more Carlos's in the world. Thank you for all...
Read moreWe went to Gardner White and bought a $4000+ sectional couch. I wanted a sectional couch that had reclining seats via level pull rather than motorized button-push style. In my opinion, it's just another thing that can go wrong. The salesman talked us into getting this one, with button-push motorized controls, and it's been nothing but annoying. They're slow, so if I have to get up quickly for something, I can't just push the reclining leg rest down. I have to either scramble to try getting up sideways without tripping over the leg rest, or wait for the leg rest to go down all the way before I can get up. Additionally, the arm rests on both end pieces seem to be made from something like cardboard. Both armrests caved in about a week after we got the sectional, and are now lumpy and uncomfortable. The salesman also talked us into purchasing the warranty/protection plan, because we were concerned about the fabric getting destroyed by my cat's claws or the motorized leg rest operations failing. It was a 4 year warranty, and I just called them to place a claim. The sectional was purchased December 8th, 2022. We have just been dealing with the various issues, because it didn't seem worth going through the hassle of the warranty just to be replaced with the same cheaply-made garbage we already had. But last week, a strip of fabric under the controls on one of the end pieces ripped, so I decided to make a claim with the warranty. As long as we were going through the warranty process, I reported the other issues we'd been having with the arm rests. I just got a call back from them today, stating they're denying the claim "due to multiple issues" because they're a "single issue warranty company". As far as I'm concerned, they're a complete scam. And Gardner White is a complete scam right along with them. This sectional is cheap garbage, and their sales people lie left and right just to try and make a sale. I'm disgusted by the entire process, and thankful I still have my other couch from almost a decade ago. We're going to be selling this one and putting our old couch back in it's place. I'm sick of looking at this sectional - it pisses me off every time I look at it. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with Gardner White and their sham of a warranty/protection plan. I don't have a recommendation of where to go around here, as my old couch was bought in the UP. But steer clear of Gardner White. Hefty price tag for poor quality, salesmen who don't listen to customer wants/needs, and...
Read moreI had Mason as my sales rep. He did wonderful. He was very respectful and very professional explained everything to me how it works and everything and got me all set up so now I can come back when I can for my tables and coffee table. Thank you so much a great place to shop. I also had the girl that works with customers that use American finance at Gardner and White. She was awesome. Also, I highly recommend her for anything. She found me some nice table, coffee table, and also a side table. And she understood my situation. I had furniture delivered that I ordered when I had Mason and I’m sorry they were horrible when they came and I paid $$169 for them to deliver a loveseat they acted like fools slamming my furniture right on my patio when I did the white glove where they are to bring it in and put it together and they did but they were so rough and the one guy never even stepped in here. He stayed out and was on his cell phone the whole time the other guy was working on it. They had no tools. No nothing I had to fry all that I truthfully feel. I should get my 169 back and they better not have done any damage to my loveseat I was just in tears when they left, but then I came in and I did complain about it to your customer service. I also then looked at side tables and a coffee table, and you happen to have someone who returned so I took those and I brought them home myself in my vehicle. I wasn’t gonna allow to go through something I went through when they delivered my loveseat today, March 14 I never wanna experience this again three weeks ago. I had a recliner, a couch and a sit up chair for the living room and I paid $169 for that and they did a wonderful job never handled it so rough but the guys that came in today it was one guy in and there was really two of them, but only one came in and did the job but was horrible and rough and nasty and his pants were down to his knees. I don’t care looking at his ass. I’m sorry so anyways before anybody does any type of delivery, make sure you are going to get some guys that know what they’re doing because this was the worst experience I ever had to make me not even wanna shop anymore at Gardner and White OK thank you very much...
