Lafayette Theater at the Long Center — Attraction in Lafayette

we had tickets for 2livecrew on July 26th, only to arrive the day of and the doors were closed and no one was there except for a few other people who had bought tickets for the same show. A flyer posted on the door said 2 live crew July 29th but the marquee said October 19th. I tried called the number they had posted and it said it was uncontactable. I’m hoping they’ll still honor our tickets but I really have no idea why there wasn’t contact on their part to alert people to the change in date in concerts. I heard one of the people lamenting that the situation would be funny if he hadn’t driven 6 hrs and paid for a $100 hotel room just to attend the show. I felt bad for the guy. Shame. My 20 year old boyfriend was yelled at and threatened to be kicked out by the owner of this place Nick Perez, over my jacket ticket. I would not give this man another dollar if my life depended on it, so unprofessional and aggressive! I was genuinely scared that this 40-50 year old man was going to hurt him or kick us out over my jacket ticket! People walking by were shocked and the lady who works there who gave me the ticket for my jacket was too scared to talk or say anything! So sad! Decent sound, viewing is good from most areas in the venue, drinks were strong. Big issue- no railing in front of the stage. Moshing is a given, but there should be a railing waist high in front of the stage. My friend and I both got hit so hard we flew under the stage. The stage was at just the right height I hit my jaw on it and went under, and he got a huge knot on his head. Super unsafe for people...
