In a grown ups restaurant that used to be called Tank is a "replacement" called Miku. Looked great from the street, had a "happy hour" with what looked like OK martinis.... $6, but at a little after 5 the restaurant filled quickly with families and single parents with fairly young children. And the volume went up high enough that the servers can read your lips. The Miso was avg to below avg.... But the huge disappointment was the beef nigiri. The only redeeming thing was a large expensive roll salmon and avocado minus the spicy oil and spicy Mayo and no unagi..... Yuck. The tempura crunch on it was good, but it was no Suntory from the old days. It felt like a neighborhood joint/day care/ let's teach Johnny and Jill about sushi. It also felt like wannabe yuppies from the 80s....a Volvo (leased) station wagon in the parking lot across the street finished a sad tableau. . The black Tobiko was avg. And they didn't have Uni although it was on the menu but not updated for the nite. The table next to me ordered the ramen bowl which a couple split and it "looked" like the menu winner. The house salad was 1/2 step above McDs. And the "creamy dressing" was grainy. Once it got busy the staff became less attentive. And I didn't see free orange slices or high decoration from the chefs. For now will stick with BlueFin In Park Ridge. The waitress should have noticed my disappointment in the beef and taken it off the tab. And I was a bit too tired to "school them". NOT...

A very conveniently located place on a popular area, the place looks pretty nice from outside. However, that's the end of the good part.

Upon seating, we observed a significant lack of staff, with only 1-2 waitresses managing the busy period. This resulted in a considerable delay in placing our order, despite our readiness to do so for the past 15 minutes.

As for the food, we ordered pork bun, Fried Dashi Tofu, Chashu (Tonkotsu) Ramen, teriyaki ribeye steak, and a big plate. Other than the last one that is kinda okay (beef tastes a bit like tap water somehow), the rest are wayyyyy below expectation for a place that calls itself a Japanese restaurant.

The tofu is sweet, the skin on it is soft when it should've been appropriately fried, and there is barely any dashi flavor.

The pork bun is also very sweet, the portion is very tiny, and overall not a very memorable dish.

The ramen, ohhh boy, is the worst non-Japanese ramen I have tasted by FAR. The soup barely has any pork flavor, very salty, and the excessive amount of saseme oil overshadows everything, and WHY IS THERE THE SAME SAUCE USED FROM PORK BUN??? I simply hated everything about it.

Overall, despite we didn't completely have a bad time here, but it definitely is a terrible place to visit due to the unfriendly staff, higher than average cost, and very VERY terrible food (downright disgraceful calling them a "Japanese restaurant" when the food barely resembles the...

We have never been here before and pass it by every week so we decided to give it a shot. Before 6 the makis are half off so I thought hey let’s try 4. First the waitress had some kind of attitude towards us and no idea why. Maybe because we brought our kid? No idea. But we tried to ignore it and just enjoy dinner. We left a majority of it on the plates and paid our check and left. The quality of the fish was poor, the combinations were just disgusting. Some of the fish looked old and gray and I was scared to eat it. I would not eat here if you paid me. No idea how this place can be 4 stars on here. Even the wasabi looked old - almost like they reused whatever someone left… What a shame. All you are doing is paying for sitting in a patio in the summer in Lincoln. But so many better spots. Wish there was better sushi in the area. Not asking for anything fancy - just something I feel like I won’t get food poisoning from. Not worth it. Also every time we have walked by people sitting eating sushi it always looked bad. We also got a drink that was not mixed at all - it was just straight up vodka when it was supposed to be a lychee drink. Maybe this place was decent at some point but there is no reason for people to come here anymore. I’d rather order take out sushi (which I rarely would ever do) and eat it on the curb then eat...

Decided to try this place since I was at an event hosted nearby. The place looks nice and the sushi itself LOOKS nice but that’s where the enjoyment abruptly ends. I ordered a ribeye skewer, California roll, spicy, tuna, roll, and a Rainbow roll. The sauce on skewer was salty but good however the meat quality was so bad that I had to spit out 3 of 6 pieces. But whatever…it’s Ribeye. The major disappointment was the sushi. The rice tasted like plastic, the fish was far from fresh. I love Sushi but I literally could not eat it. I really felt like my only option was to gently inform my server. She said, ā€œthe manager isn’t here and we don’t care.ā€ I paid the check and left. There’s no way that anyone who knows what sushi should taste like can ok this place.
