Walking into Do-Rite Donuts is like stepping into a little corner of heaven for donut lovers. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked donuts, wafting through the air and teasing your senses. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to grab a quick treat on the go or to linger a bit and enjoy the moment. I decided to go with the birthday donut, and let me tell you—it was an experience in itself. The donut was a soft, pillowy cloud of sweetness, so delicate that it practically melted in my mouth. The texture was perfect: light and airy, yet satisfyingly rich. The subtle sweetness wasn’t overpowering, allowing the flavors to shine through. It had just the right amount of frosting, adding a touch of creaminess without overwhelming the donut’s soft, buttery base. Each bite was pure bliss, a delightful dance of flavor and texture that left me wanting more. The sprinkle of colorful toppings not only added a playful crunch but also brought out the nostalgia of birthday celebrations, making it as fun to look at as it was to eat. Do-Rite Donuts has truly mastered the art of donut-making. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the love and care put into each creation. Whether you’re in a hurry and need something delicious to brighten your day, or you’re looking to treat yourself to something special, this spot is an absolute must. I’m already planning my next visit to explore more of their mouthwatering flavors!

I wish I could say something great about this Addison st. Do-Rite. However, I can't and I will not try. The attitude of the establishment was confusing. There was no ambient smell of yeast or chicken. The store was neat but riddled with food on the floor. Their saving grace, nice cashier. The $6 chicken sandwich (pictured somewhere on here) was burnt to a crisp, twice. It was edible but flavorless. I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and a half dozen donuts for $32. Gave my kids the donuts. The company totes the hashtag #freshdonutsallday. Seeing standing tall racks uncovered and filled with donuts have me a bit skeptic to the hashtag claim. Donut review later.

A worthy contender in the fried chicken sandwich battle! I snagged the sandwich and added egg, jalapeño, and pepper jack cheese. Would add the cheese again but not the egg and I didn't taste any jalapeño. Damn good but messy! 'Old' Top notch! Tried the Vera Cruz and Applewood Smoked Bacon Sandwich. Cinnamon Old Fashion, Chocolate Glazed Raised, and Vegan Orange Olive Oil Donuts. Both sandwiches were delicious but the Vera Cruz wins with an amazing pico added to give it a perfect bite of yumminess. The donuts were also all delicious but the Vegan Orange Olive Oil wins the gold medal for a wonderful, subtle, taste of orange. Will be back to try em' again!

I fell in love with this place! Everything they did seemed amazing to me and the location is in PERFECT proximity to my job. About twice a month, since February, I would go in before work and get the avocado sandwich. The sandwich was the best avocado sandwich I'd had in a while which is why I kept getting it. Granted, it is a hefty sandwich! Anyway for last 3 months I had minimized my visit to once because I'd had a very disgusting sandwich from them. I "let it slide" because I know how good the sandwich is and I wanted to believe i was just a bad day for them. A month after that first bad sandwich I had order it again and it wasn't as bad as the one before it but it was nowhere as good as I had previously remembered. Again I just assumed it was another bad day. Today, a month later, I decided to give them one last try and it pain me to say this but the sandwich I had to was LITERALLY the worst sandwich I have EVER had. The roll (the bread) use to taste fresh and buttery, making me feel guilty for even indulging in it - now it just tastes like stale bread that was re heated in the microwave. The eggs used to be cooked just right -now they taste overcooked. The tomato was fine! The mayo they used today tasted more sour than normal. and the avocado -THE AVOCADO- use to be ripened to perfection providing a smooth texture that I loved - Today, the avocado was hard. I bit into it tried to chew but immediately had to spit it out because it just tasted wrong.

I don't typically write review because I never felt this about something but I know they can do better because they've...

So the food is delicious, don't get me wrong. But the service at this location is continually awful. And I'm not one to be picky about this and I'm always forgiving. But if the service is bad pre-pandemic, amidst the pandemic, and a whole year after pandemic has begun, clearly there are just unresolved issues. I've had people just be rude and dismissive without me doing anything wrong or asking for anything weird. I've worked in service, I'm polite and I tip well. It wasn't even busy when this happened. This lady was just mean. And most recently, they got my delivery order wrong for the 2nd time. This time, the Uber Eats driver said he asked for my coffee, and they told him HE was wrong, it was an orange juice. Meanwhile he's looking at my order and can see that it is...coffee...but they insisted. Spoiler alert, he was right, they were wrong. Turns out, Lauren is a common name! They got all of the food wrong as well. This was super avoidable too, they could have just been nice and cooperative with the Uber driver. So come for what I'd say are the best donuts in Chicago. But then leave immediately, and make sure your...
