Was very unhappy with the self checkout process; the store was fairly empty, not busy at all around 8:45 pm on a weeknight. All registers were closed and no associates were available to help check out so the only options were to self checkout or leave without making a purchase. If I was looking for a self service experience, I would not have come out in bad weather to do so. I could do it more comfortably online, at home. Overall, self checkout seems like unfair enrichment to me, the store makes money from my purchase as well as saves money by not having to pay an associate to work the register. What incentive can a store offer to guests in this case to induce them to use self checkout? Hopefully stores will consider having at least one register open to help guests at all times or at least offer a discount on the total purchase if a guest is forced to use self checkout. Otherwise why would anyone bother visiting a store in...
Read morePick-up Service: CHECK YOUR ITEMS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE. I ordered two 16oz squeeze bottles, and got a 16oz one and 12oz one. I had to drive back to the store the next day. I spoke with a Manager, Hector. I indicated what happened, and that I had to make 2 trips (the 2nd one to fix the problem) to get my order. I also indicated that Target's Inventory Management Process must be lacking, since if employees were required to scan bar codes in before assembling an order, it would have been flagged as the wrong item (12oz bottle was wrong). I realize the items look similar, but one is visibly larger than the other. Hector listened to my concerns and frustration, and provided a $10 Gift Card for my inconvenience. I'm glad Hector listened and offered a compensatory consolation. I just wish there was more QC on...
Read moreThis Target is usually pretty clean, well organized, and I can find most things I need (and often things I didn't know I needed, which is not great for the wallet, but great for the convenience!). Staff there is always friendly and helpful when needed, and prices are competitive enough. It's convenient to be able to go to one store for a variety of needs, which saves time on errand runs. I only get a bit annoyed when I go for something specific and it's the only thing they're out of at that time. But that's life in a nutshell. I do wish sometimes they were better stocked, but I imagine it depends what day you choose to go. P.S. I can't deal with Wal-Shart. I'd rather spend a few more dollars at Target to not feel like I'm shopping in a...
