An update, my car is still at Costco for 4 months now. I called the regional office several times with no response. ———————————————————————————— I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the handling of a tire replacement issue at Costco. As a long-time customer who has always valued Costco's commitment to fairness and quality, I find myself profoundly troubled by the lack of transparency and resolution in this matter.
The ordeal began when I purchased tires for my vehicle at Costco for approximately $750.
During a recent visit to Costco for a tire replacement on my all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle, I was dismayed to discover a significant discrepancy between the advertised coverage and the actual resolution provided. Despite Costco's advertising indicating comprehensive assistance for wheel replacements, including for AWD vehicles, the reality of my situation tells a different story.
What troubles me most is the lack of disclosure regarding the discontinuation of the tires shortly after my purchase. It has since come to light that Costco was aware or should have been aware of this fact at the time of my visit. This omission is particularly concerning given the implications for AWD vehicles like mine.
Costco initially indicated that the tread left on the tires was around 80%, only to later revise the estimate to 70 to 80%. Even accounting for a 20% use, the prorated value of the tires would amount to $150 out of the original $750.
However, despite this calculation, Costco's tire manager proceeded to quote me a price of about $600 for the replacement tires. After appealing to the store manager, the price was reduced to approximately $405, still significantly higher than the prorated value of the tires based on their usage.
Furthermore, despite my attempts to resolve the issue, the tire manager continuously defers to the regional office, which has yet to provide any satisfactory solution.
As a result, my car has been sitting at Costco for over a month now, exacerbating the inconvenience and frustration I am experiencing.
As a loyal customer, I am deeply troubled by the lack of fairness and transparency displayed in this situation. It is unacceptable that I am being charged an exorbitant amount for replacement tires that do not align with the prorated value based on their usage.
I implore Costco's top executives to intervene in this matter and ensure that a fair and equitable resolution is reached. The discrepancy between the quoted price and the prorated value of the tires must be addressed, and I urge Costco to honor its commitment to customer satisfaction and fairness.
I urge Costco's leadership to reevaluate the pricing of the replacement tires and provide a resolution that reflects the true value of the tires based on their usage. Additionally, I request prompt action to expedite the resolution of this issue and ensure the timely return of my vehicle.
As a valued customer, I trust that Costco will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation and restore my confidence in the company's integrity and commitment...
Read moreThere's a lot to say about this location starting with the customer service. Never have I or my family ever experience racial profiling anywhere. The reason I have for mentioning being racially profiled is because you can can see it in our skin tone and hear it in our accent that we are part of the latino community. Which I'm highly proud to be for various reasons nonetheless.
The host at the door named "LINDA" allowed 3 families to walk into the store without even asking for a membership card. Shortly after that me and my sister walked in after waving our membership card at her. After walking past her she then screamed at us demanding for a card. Then when we turned around and questioned her about not asking for a membership out of the other customers she looked at us surprised at our reactions, because at that point in time we felt profiled.(lets not be close minded about this, because its very real and it can happen to anybody.)
After we did our shopping that only took us 10 minutes. We then demanded to speak to a manager "JERAHMY" to inform him of the altercation we had at the door. With the lack of management skills he has, He then started to question us and took sides with her. Not once did we heard an apology come out of his mouth for our experience as customers/members. Neither did he mention he would correct this issue. Which by the way it's not the only time it happens.
Keep in mind that this is not the first time this happens to us at this location. A couple weeks before that me and my mom tried walking into this exact location, when the same person(LINDA) approached us demanding for a membership card. After allowing multiple people pass by. They are also very unsanitary at this location. With COVID and everything going on the staff doesn't stop to think about others.
IM NOT SORRY!!!! THIS...
Read moreWe have been members for over 20 years. The customers are wealthier but not better behaved. In fact I wondered if they're racist. This year I was seated at the cafeteria, working on my laptop, waiting while my car tires were being rotated. A middle aged white lady asked me to get up and leave because according to her, there were no empty seats. I complained to Pearl in customer service but she didn't care. I asked for the store manager and Theresa came and spoke to her. A family sitting nearby told me to not leave because there were plenty of empty seats. I have been uncomfortable going to Costco ever since. We have been members for over 20 years. Tomorrow we are going to cancel our membership.
Costco has lost its value. Their gas prices are 10 cents a gallon cheaper than outside but if you get a loyalty credit card for say, BP, you will get the same price, without having to pay a $65 annual membership fee. The prices inside the store are really high - even a Costco staff member told me half-jokingly that it was getting harder for her to eat. There was a nice family in the checkout line with me and all they had in their cart was the artificially low-priced $5 rotisserie chicken. This, cheaper gas and the $1.50 hot dog are meant to draw you into the store to buy the more expensive stuff. The lady told me while they were sitting in the cafeteria that the prices were...
