Marshalls — Attraction in Lakeland

I had the worst experience at this location thanks to an employee working in the fitting room named Barbara. I would give this location in Lakeland, FL no stars if I could. I went in to buy something to wear to my best friends wedding rehearsal, I liked two jumpsuits so I went to the fitting room to try them on. When I got to the fitting room Barbara was behind the counter and asked me how many items I had (while staring at my Ross bag I had in my hand from a previous purchase). She then proceeded to come around the counter to count my jumpsuits that were in plain view. I paid no mind to the way she was acting and went inside the fitting room with the items and the number card. After finishing trying on the jumpsuits I decided to buy one of them but I wanted it in a bigger size so I hung the jumpsuits back up and got dressed. I received a phone call while getting dressed and started talking on the phone and left the fitting room with the two jumpsuits in hand, as I was leaving the fitting room I hear someone yelling "excuse me I have to check those!" It was Barbara and the only reason I knew she was yelling at me was because she was pulling the jumpsuits back towards her. I turned around and told her she didn't have to be rude about it because it really wasn't that serious. Barbara said "well I need to check them and I need the number back". I went back into the fitting room to get the number and when I came back to hand it to Barbara she snatched it out of my had and said she wasn't being rude (when she clearly was). I asked her name (so I could go complain on her to her Manager) she responded "Barbara, go for it!" I went to the front of the store where I was met by the store Manager Brian, I told him what had just occurred he told me that he will review cameras to see what was said as if I was lying about the situation I told him how I didn't want the items anymore because of the customer service I just received he said "well you have a good day". He was so nonchalant about the situation. I asked him for corporate number he then called a woman employee over to show me where corporate number was posted on this big poster (which he was standing right next to). I called corporate and was promised a call from their district manager which I still haven't received in over a week. I will never spend another dime in this store or any other Marshall's. I work hard for my money and will not spend it if I am not treated as a valued customer. I will tell my experience to any and everyone who crosses my path that's how...

(My updated post) Adding correction to my previous review for one of my favorite places TJ Maxx, Homewood and Marshall), today I tried to make return ( which I rarely do Because a piece of metal was sticking out of the fabric on the and and due to the fact that I had put it on that's the only way I knew there was a piece of metal sticking out and I had to turn around and go home after I noticed it and change. They wouldn't take the item back because earlier my black T-shirt got some black lint on the item. I called customer service and the complaint line and put in a request to speak to the general manager but other than that it makes me super sad because I'm not a person that returns anything and Home goods TJ Maxx and Marshall's are my favorite stores I even buy groceries there, cookware, bath and home and new outfits for upcoming events, holidays etc.

I will not shop in Marshall's Lakeland ever again after being treated like a liar for a defective item I only possessed for less than a week.

Its regretfully off my go to list.

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE Went to the store with my daughter... she wanted to try a shirt on in front of the mirror so she didn’t have to go to the dressing room. the lady was just very rude to my daughter and told her not to place her shirt there bc it was on some merchandise that they were going to sell. I said then maybe you shouldn’t have mirrors around the store then so people can’t try anything on. Then she continued to complain to the other co-worker and said that we should have gone to the dressing room. I then butted back in and said then maybe you should take all your mirrors down in the store and then that wouldn’t happen. I WILL NEVER SHOP...
