Rude. Before I delve in know that I would have left without their services but the first thing this woman did was fill out a sheet, making me feel like I kinda had to go with them or make a scene. I loathe when places do this. You shouldn't expect me to commit before I have a chance to ask basic questions.
I came here to get my engagement ring resized. I picked Jared's bc the last time it was resized they messed up a little and the band was actually round. I though going somewhere bigger would be better to get the flaws worked out.
It was clear the woman who worked with me didn't like my ring, which is probably bc it was my grandma's and not bought from her. Yes it's tiny and would probably be super cheap, but it lasted through the depression and 60+ years of a marriage that only ended when my grandparents died a month apart from one another. That ring symbolizes so much more than a price tag or large rock ever will. It shouldn't matter to her though. Just resize the thing and stop telling me every aspect of it needed to be replaced for one reason or another. (Both the band and the part that holds the diamond in where flawed in her mind. The band's issue was it was thin though? Also, not much left after that.)
To be clear it probably does need some work after being worn for so long on the top part. I'd like a second opinion but it seems plausible. But it seemed every question I asked was foreign and nearly offensive to this woman. I mostly asked about things like pricing by the way. And yes, I asked how you make a ring smaller and why I didn't get to keep the gold they cut off (never really got an answer to that one). I also wanted to know if they did re-tip it where the gold would come from (unknown scrap metal) and if they could use the gold they were taking from the ring instead (wrong color so they wouldn't do it). Not gonna lie, I refuse to guy gold or diamonds for humanist reasons. Call me weird, but a good salesman would just respect it and move on. Most likely I'll get it fixed elsewhere. I'll just have to research to know where.
I was going to look at their pearl necklaces afterwards for wedding jewelry. But this woman never considered I might buy something and after dealing with her and the condescending way she said she understood the ring was sentimental I...
Read moreWonderful Experience. I initially went in to buy a pendant for my Girlfriend's Birthday that I saw on line. It was only available online. Beth was my consultant and was so polite and sincere in assisting me in finding just the right one. I like the one she pointed out and explained the construction and Value. It was more than I intended to spend. Within minutes, painlessly set me up with a line of credit that allowed me to pay it off short term and purchase a better quality pendant for my special person for her Birthday.
The Chain accidentally broke the day I put it on her on her Birthday. I felt really disappointed for her as well as I let her down. I knew it was no fault of Jared's or the Quality of the jewelry, it was just an accident at the wrong time I went back to see Beth, Who showed empathy and compassion as she patiently listened to my Story. She Brought out the Location Manager Daniel. Daniel was equally as compassionate for what happened. I wanted to upgrade the chain, but could not find one I felt was within my means. So I left, because I thought there was nothing else I could do. I was 10 steps out the door, and I heard, "Hey! Wait!" It was Daniel running out the door (in high heels!) after me! She said, Wait, we cant just left you leave with out solving your issue!" She was incredible. Her and Beth arranged to have the chain I had out to be fixed. They sincerely felt awful I was going to leave. They were so profession and genuine and extremely helpful and courteous....When I left, I felt so good, it almost felt I owed THEM! I highly recommend this location for their expertise and the Best Customer Experience Ever. I certainly will be back! Thank to...
Read moreI came in about three years ago interested in finding the perfect diamond ring. Hanna was not only extremely kind and helpful but was also extremely knowledgeable. I asked a lot of hard questions and never got any sense that she was frustrated, in the least, by how particular I was being. She was just eager to help. It was about a year long process and never once did I feel pressured to pull the trigger on a purchase I wasn't sure about. I did a lot of research, asked a lot of very specific questions about gemstones in their inventory, and consumed a lot of their time with no guarantee of purchasing. Every step of the way Hanna was just eager to help and genuinely excited for me to eventually find the perfect stone for my bride. Even when I decided not to purchase a ring from Jared's Hanna was still extraordinarily helpful during my many visits in helping me find the perfect stone, which they set for me. She gave honest advice (very refreshing), and wasn't afraid to disagree with my opinions. Hanna is truly an expert both in her industry and as a saleswoman. Since then, Jared's has been consistent in its commitment to service the ring whenever and wherever they have a location. I'm writing this review now, because after three years since our first visit, it is still a memorable experience because of how exceptional the service was. Thank you to Hanna and the rest of the team at Jared's in Lakewood. I can't recommend this location enough, and am very glad that I chose to go with Jared's for such a big decision. As much as it sounds like a generic advertising slogan, I really do feel like Jared's is a trusting partner there to serve me individually when I have occasion to...
