Me and my girlfriend walked into the store hoping to find something for her birthday. There were many people in the store other than us but we were speaking spanish. As soon as they heard us they started to follow us around the store. Both of the two only workers on the floor followed us throught the store not even giving a second glance to anyone else. There were multiple other people who were trying on clothes off the shelf while we hadn't even pulled anything off the racks. The older woman was told to also follow us as well as she was making it very obvious that she was staring inside our bag. They were following us and cornering us so obviously they would literally be just standing behind the rack staring at us. We then asked if there was a reason we were being followed around the store and if was because of our race. Instead of apologizing or denying racism they just smugly told us they can follow however they want. However I then told the manager woman named "Pam" that the older woman made it much more obvious that they were following us and staring in our bags and she didn't know what to say and just made and shrugged. She then started to walk away from us and when I asked her name she became much more upset and said "Pam." (The woman on the right in the first photo with glasses.) This is in no way okay and upper management should look into this as this was very clear racism and it was very uncomfortable for me and my girlfriend. This was on...
Read moreI went to exchange some clothes at this location today because I ordered a few items online. They were not the right material and were like cotton sweats rather than fitted/athletic weather resistant fabric. The woman who seemed to be the lead retail associate took my exchange and input "clothes didn't fit" into their system as the reason for the return even though I explained I just needed better options to protect me from the elements. She continued by saying they probably don't have anything like that for me and directed me to the leggings section because that's all she could see working for me.
I ended up buying the three pairs of pants that I originally was looking for online and finding plenty of options that were not leggings in the women's section. I would like to mention how rude it is to see this comment coming back to me in my emailed receipt as well. The assumption you made about the size of my body and whether I would be able to fit anything else is bizarre to me considering Eddie Bauer carries sizes up to 24 in women's pants. The customer service at this location is poor, awkward, and apparently harshly judgmental. This is such a sad mall to be working in too. Truly disappointing and I would be embarrassed to work with someone like the girl who...
Read moreI don't shop malls normally. I searched this store specifically, as I was looking for a specific item (a rain jacket) and wanted to try it in store. Here, I come. It says it's open on here so I went - 45 minute drive each way. It was closed although I went during business hours listed here. A coworker told me the next day that it was going to be closed until November, possibly longer, because of a hail storm that shut down the entire mall. I informed Eddie Bauer on their website that Google Maps says they're open. That was about a month ago and I've yet to receive any sort of acknowledgement of the issue nor see the hours changed on here. Their website store locator also does not acknowledge the issue. While I sympathise with their loss of revenue and the lay off of employees due to natural disaster out of their control, a little customer courtesy goes a long way, especially when one must drive a considerable distance. I ended up purchasing a Columbia rain jacket instead through Amazon instead. Amazon may be a corporate beast but with free shipping and returns, I'd rather do that then waste more time and money having to return items to a store if they don't work out - and having that...
