This review is over due, but necessary so please read it. As a foreword, I am probably the worst customer there is. I am the kind of person that takes a lot of time, attention, I ask a million questions, and go back and forth about how I might spend my money, and the guys at Beat cycles really went above and beyond to help me find a bike that, having ridden it a bit, has changed my love of riding bikes in the best way possible.

I had been looking to buy myself a new mountain bike after taking a relative hiatus from the activity. The team at Beat listened to me, answered my questions, updated me on all the new information. And I asked them a lot of questions...and probably wasted way more time than anyone should. But they never wavered in their sincerity in helping me, and never made me feel they weren’t taking me serious about buying a bike or feel like i should already know everything about bikes. They were really laid back, not arrogant, and really went the extra mile to make sure I knew what I was looking for, and in the end of all of the saga, they helped me find a bike that was perfect for me and I haven’t had this much fun in a really long time.

They had a lot of great products and brands to choose from and in the store there is a lot of great gear, accessories and local information to check out as I continued to lament on what bike to buy—the bike that ended up being perfect for what I wanted, actually cost me significantly less than the originally budget I told them I wanted to be within.

They also knew a lot about mountain biking/general riding in the area, where to go to get comfortable on the trails, and have been super inviting to come ride with the guys that regular the store without making me feel bad for being “slow”..they know it’s all about riding your bike and having fun. Thanks a lot guys. I freaking love my...

The guys at Beat Cycles exude exactly what a bike shop should be.

Passionate about their community and the people that are enjoying it on their bicycle! They have meticulously restored this space, making it a vibrant spot in Lakewood to get a new bike, tune up an old bike and find out where to ride both.

Taking a walk around Beat Cycles, you will notice the impressive selection of products. There is obvious consideration and real cycling experience behind what is available in the store, where I have even been introduced to new products that have really made me happy miles down the road (that fabric multi-tool is the bomb). Should you have any questions or look for something a bit different, you can be certain that Ryan and the staff will not rest until they have found the solution to your problem that results in you having a great time on your bike. No matter where you are at in your love of cycling, you will find a corner for your interests at Beat Cycles.

But the real reason I go to this bike shop is simple, this store is full of people that are actually excited to talk to you about cycling. Whether I am looking for ways to make commuting around town more enjoyable or safe, looking for something cool to wear for my every day life or want to know where to go for an epic mountain bike weekend, there is a wealth of knowledge and encouragement to further enjoy my favorite hobby here.

Lastly, the music...

Favorite bike shop in Cleveland. These guys are the friendliest, most knowledgeable all around riders-bike shop guys around. Both commute to work each day and they don’t sell any products they don’t stand behind 100%. I’ve purchased 2 bikes, clothes, parts, accessories off of them and have never had problems with any of them. The workers there are very easy to talk to and explain things very well. Most likely you’ll make a purchase and get a few new friends out of the deal too. It seems to me they remember almost each and every customer and are excited to see them when they return. They’re involved in the community and the owner lives in Lakewood which is great in my book. The shop has a very cozy feel to it, and it’s easy to walk around and check out different things. The owner tore down and re did the whole place which is awesome and stands out from other bike shops. And we’re all excited to see their finished addition when it’s done! I’ve attended quite a few of their Sunday night Mtb rides where you’ll learn tons of new skills and meet new people in a no man left behind/not a race feel. It’s a very sociable shop and I feel like it’s Cleveland’s gem in the biking community. Stop by and I guarantee you won’t be...

Beat cycles is the best . I needed a new rear cassette to accommodate better gearing for some hills. I stopped in on a Saturday and met Ryan . I explained the issue I was having. Ryan spent the time with me explaining a few options for my early 2000’s Kestral Talon . Ryan gave me multiple suggestions, to change the gearing. A new rear cassette and chain did the trick. Ryan was conscientious of cost and value . I took his recommendation and couldn’t be happier. I left my bike with him , thinking I would hear back the following week . However , within a couple hours Beat cycles called and my bike was ready ! I highly recommend Beat Cycles , you can trust them. Thank you Ryan and staff !

I bought an old bike and I was not well-informed about bike maintenance until I came in. I had them fix the wheels up. Awesome recommendations the whole time and nobody tried to up-sell. I got taught what I wanted to ride long distance comfortably and I had a great chance to pick his brain on lots of bike maintenance topics and suggestions. With the knowledge I gained, I was able to clean out and rebuild my bike. New tires went on then I immediately took a 60 mile bike ride and experienced no problems at all. Thank you for the help.

Ryan and Beats Bike are TOP NOTCH. Was in the midst of building a dj bike with my son, Ryan took the time to sort out what we had and what we needed. I can't say enough good things about this shop. No matter what you need, go see Ryan. He is professional, curious and most of all a all around cool dude. This is why we shop local!
