Sometimes you get blown away about a new restaurant you try. We were blown away in all aspects. atmosphere! safety! service - A1 and the food....sigh. the food was amazing. choosing from the menu was hard. I knew I wanted more than I could handle and had to dial it back. Our server recommended the shrimp scampi appetizer. This was large enough that I didn’t get a meal. from the menu - SHRIMP “AQUA PAZZA” SCAMPI charred tomato in a spicy “crazy water” reggiano, calabrian peppers, grilled country bread. I finished it and immediate wanted to order it again. My wife got the GARGANELLI #pasta with SUNDAY SAUCE (GF) our marinara sauce, short rib, sausage, veal. it was piping hot and sumptuous. the sauce and the pasta were on point. large portions. Two drinks were ordered only because after the first which was really well constructioned - ITALIAN SUNSET amaretto disaronno, orange juice, soda, luxardo cherry juice we saw the Melon Bellini. boom Drink Envy! MELON BELLINI midori, prosecco, orange juice, peach puree. By far a highlight!! for dessert and I am glad I saved room and my wife didn’t. SPUMONI chocolate, black cherry, pistachio ice cream, starlino cherry sauce. The picture of the dessert doesn’t do it justice. please make reservations and please try this restaurant. Wow!

Bar Italia was SO GOOD, I can't wait to return again in the near future! From the Atmosphere to the Food everything was great. Location wise in Lakewood it was not hard to get to nor to find parking. Possible on a busy night you may have to walk a block or two but nothing crazy. Restaurant is right on the Corner, when you walk in its hard to not love how prefect the size of the restaurant is. Great Atmosphere as I said on the inside, with a good size bar located in the middle with Tv's. Kitchen it a little open so you can see back inside of it, smell all the fantastic food cooking. All the staff there was extremally nice and great sense of humor! Getting into the best part... THE FOOD: To start off we ordered the House Made Meat Balls and the Fritti Misto that were both so appetizing! For dinner we had the Veal Parmesan (not on menu however can be ordered/made), The Chef Andy's Butcatini Bolognese, and the Garganelli Diavolo with Shrimp (added chicken also to it). All three of these meals were mouthwatering! We will be back again! It going to be hard to decided to get the same things because they were so good or to get something else!

I have been wanting to try Bar Italia for the longest and finally did the other day. I was so excited that we were going to try it and it didn’t disappoint! What an amazing experience! We had to make a reservation since they were pretty booked but as soon as we arrived they got us seated and ready to go. Our server was extremely nice and helpful when we asked for recommendations, we knew we wanted pizza but were a bit doubtful about which ones. We decided to go for the fig one and the mushroom one and man they were delicious!!!!! Can’t recommend them enough!! We also got a side of bread and it was extremely tasty, crunchy and good too, we loved it! Finally, the atmosphere was beautiful too, it was great for a date night out and to enjoy some great quality food. Can’t wait to come back and try their pastas, the plates other people had looked delicious as well and I am sure they will taste amazing too. Definitely a great place to go!

My husband and I decided to try this new Italian restaurant for brunch. Our reservations were for 1pm, and after looking at the brunch menu on their website, we were ready to order. Unfortunately, they did not have a number of dishes available, including the one I selected: the Frittata. I opted for the bucatini pasta with Sunday sauce. The pasta was al dente and the sauce magnificent! I was not disappointed! My husband ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict, which was perfectly cooked! Bar Italia offers half off their signature Bloody Marys and Bellinis, definitely a must! The space is open and inviting; however, the front entrance is a bit too small for people waiting to be shown their table and people leaving the restaurant. The back booths also need a daily dusting! Overall, we had a nice experience. We will be back for dinner (I can't get enough of bucatini pasta!) with hopes of the same kind of attention and service! Ciao 💫

5 star review for dine in experience - make sure you have a reservation or you might have a long wait time. The food and drinks were amazing and the bartenders were so amazing and fun! (3 pics of my paloma, espresso dessert and the ricotta country bread appetizer) 3 star review for carry out - I loved my dine in experience so much that I ordered take out about a week later and was very disappointed. We ordered the bolognese (same thing I got at the dine in) and it was extremely under/over cooked - literally a ball of dough (see pic) instead of noodles. Also the portion was crazy small. The restaurant did remake them for us and they looked much better the second time but then there was practically no sauce and we had to add sauce at home so that we weren't eating plain noodles. Overall would highly recommend to go in person. Pass on take out unless you are getting pizza/not pasta.

Bar Italia is Italian dining done right! We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner here, and 10/10 will be back! Walked in and were instantly welcomed by a hostess with a rose. The ambiance is a cool modern-Italian vibe. A gorgeous wine bar in the center surrounded by high-top cocktail tables, and tables and booths along the perimeter. The menu features a great variety of in-house specials and Italian classics. The stuffed-peppers starter had an unbelievable blend of sausage and cheese that did not last long at the mercy of our forks. And then we both had the extremely flavorful chicken marsala for our mains with the side spaghetti (which was cooked to a perfect al dente). A heart-shaped chocolate lava cake to finish with a bottle of wine and some great music thrown in, and this dinner was 10/10. We live right up the street and will be back very soon!
