Cost Plus World Market is a retail store who has an eclectic collection of items from around the world. It's easy to get lost browsing the aisles, and finding something new to fancy.

My interests always lead me to their food & furniture section. The furniture section, mainly for their papasan chairs. The chair so comfy, I always tell myself I'll buy one next time I come back to shop.

With my promos, I chose to use these on a jar of Marmite. Along with it's Australian counterpart, Vegemite, Marmite is yeast extract fortified with B vitamins. Not everyone's cup of tea, I enjoy consuming the stuff, either as a spread or straight up. The best way I can describe the taste to a layperson, is imagine soy sauce butter. Same saltiness, same texture as a butter spread (Vegemite has more of a Vaseline consistency).

Service was good. I ordered via Cost Plus World Market's website, and I picked up my item at the register. They have a fun scavenger hunt every Holiday season, where customers look for hidden bells or what not for gift cards. I haven't been lucky the few time I've participated, but the hunt is entertaining, nonetheless.

Okay so I go into the store in Lakewood, CA to buy (2) andirondack chairs. There are 4 or 5 in stock. As they go to bring them to the cashier for me they see a hold tag on them. Oh I can't sell you these they are on hold. They are coming to get them on Friday, they asked us yesterday if they would hold them. Well let me buy 2 of the others - Oh no those are on hold also. Me asks "Have any of these been paid for yet". No not yet, we hold them as a courtesy. Hmmm "Let's see I am here with money to buy them and I can't buy them because somebody might come in tomorrow or Saturday, or might not". After explaining to them what a strange policy they have, I give them my phone number and they said they would call me if they don't show up. I go home visit the website and get the customer service number and call. Guess what, the company policy is not to allow merchandise to be held unless it is paid for. They advise me to place an online/pick up in store order since they show 3 chairs still in stock. I pay for them get an acknowledgement of my order. Then I have to wait for a confirmation email before picking up. I wait and I wait and finally I get an order cancellation email. I call customer service again, explain what has happened and after explaining and re-explaining he says he has to get his supervisor on the phone....as he transfers the call I am disconnected...................Thank you...

My experience was Awesome Top Grade,Allen was Great customer service,I'm a heart patient and he paid close attention that I had to keep sitting while I shopped.He was very sharp and detailed that I may have needed assistance.We conversated and he was just himself caring enthusiastically inclined to not just me but all his customer.I was shopping almost 2 hours and he kept checking on me.You canr pay for the value that Coat Plus Market has in this employee my vote is to give him a raise and a higher position. He didnt recall I had had a previous encounter with him days prior when I thought store was open to the public.He came to my car with his mask on and so graciously greeted me and advised me on current information of store that only doing curbside,but to come back cause store was newly opened on Friday.He not only made my day.But was kind & respectful and very much empathetic to my personal shopping needs.Im telling I want to hear from the GM of this Cost Plus a World Market to know that my voice was heard in regard to this perfected employee and In this time of #Black Live Matter ,He is caucasian and I'm Black,French,Indian,White and I want this employee to know that not only in this parable time the world U.S. & GLOBALLY are going through.His work ethic matters to me.I have a voice and Im using it!!!!# BlackLiveMatter #...
