I haven’t had the opportunity to visit the cafe but would like to in the future. I was introduced to Passenger coffee when I was at a different restaurant a few years ago and had hands-down the best coffee I had ever had in my life. When I asked if they had any beans available for purchase, the barista just started raving about Passenger. They only used Passenger beans and she immediately referred me to their website. Their subscription service is amazing. I have tried so many varieties of beans than I normally would have passed on because “I wasn’t sure,” and typically play it safe with a blend. The only bad thing about Passenger is your palate gets use to extraordinary coffee very fast and almost everything else that is easily available tastes like garbage. My only recommendation (if anyone from Passenger reads these) - I would love if I there was more educational information about the coffee I receive each month. Even if it didn’t come with the coffee, it would be cool to have a link, email, etc that I could go to and learn more...

I really wish zero stars was an option. Do people think good service and man buns is what it takes to make good coffee? Everything that is wrong with the modern day coffee house. Long on form short on substance. If you are looking for someone to politely serve you a cup of suck look no farther. Their espresso is simply the worst I have ever had. It was bitter, sour, and acidic all at the same time. I am not sure if that should even be possible. While watching them make the espresso they did everything they could have wrong. Under roasted beans, non adjusted grind, un tamped coffee puck... they did this silly spiny thing... ugh... un watched shot during pull. I could say similar things about their drip coffee. Its not just that they are serving bad coffee that troubles me its that they are held up as good and messing with the calabration of the general public. Look through my reviews, I am easy to please to a fault. Again I wish no stars was an option and not because if 1...

I’ve been to 46 of the 50 states. When I travel I visit coffee roasters in every city I stay in and many I drive through. Why do I bring this up?

Because Passenger is one of the very best coffee shops in the nation. I’ve checked. And I’ve never had a better cappuccino.

Great service, world class coffee, baristas that don’t just know how to make a drink but know the why behind what they are doing to ensure it’s great every time, locally baked pastries, good atmosphere. This is a coffee connoisseur’s coffee shop.

In addition the bagged coffee is always roasted recently and is an amazing collection of single origin coffees roasted to perfection.

Note: if your idea of coffee involves massive amounts of sugar and whipped cream, you should look elsewhere as they don’t serve that. Ditto if you want very dark roasts, they roast for maximum varietal flavor profiles which tend...

This is the most elevated, sophisticated, and out right experiential coffee shop I have ever visited. I would consider it closer to the MoMA than a Starbucks or commodity coffee spot. They had multiple selections of drip, espresso, and pour over (they actually had a ton of pour over options ranging from great to excellent), the baristas were very kind and professional, extremely dedicated to their craft and were clearly invested in stewarding the coffee to the consumer well. They have an emphasis on presentation, quality, and experience. They are true to themselves and want you to enjoy their coffee through their vision. Think of this spot as “chef curated” and not “build your own”, just thrust them to deliver a stellar product and they will! I wish I lived in the area so that I could come back here all the time!!

I always stop at Passenger Coffee when I'm heading to Ohio from my family member's how in Maryland. I think passenger stands out among coffee places in Lancaster and PA through roasting some of the most notable and most expensive coffees in the world, and they do it well. And they are always working toward making excellent coffee available for any budget, even poor folk like me who spend their hard earned money on good coffee. Not only is it the excellent coffee that makes me take an hour detour, but it's the staff at Passenger who actively engaged me and took a genuine interest in me and all guests who I witnessed buy coffee. I will continue to make the hour detour when I'm heading home from visiting my family to get some excellent coffee.

Don’t come here expecting flavored syrups and sugary cold foams — but DO expect to be impressed. I love a maple brown sugar shaken espresso with cold foam more than anything AND YET a basic iced coffee from here was so delicious I didn’t even add sugar to it. I was happy to drink it black! My fiance loved his espresso shot and said it was the best he ever had. Staff was patient and nice when answering my questions and the cafe’s design and interior was gorgeous. It’s pretentious (in a good way) and incredibly simple. Put your trust in the staff and give it a try, even if you’re a skeptic like me! Also note its sign is pretty easy to miss! Keep an eye out
