Do not go here. This place is run by a bunch of ill-mannered and irresponsible children. Very unprofessional and they don't know what they're doing.
I hadn't had a cigar in a while, so I figured that I'd run in to get one. Mid-way through the cigar, a cocktail waitress came over and asked if we wanted cocktails and I told her, "No, the woman who sold me the cigar told me I could sit down and just smoke a cigar here." She then demands to see my ID and the other person in my party's ID, even though another one of the waitresses had told us to sit down and enjoy the cigar. The other person in my party was visiting from overseas and did not have an ID. - To make a long story short, I refused to leave since they had already sold me the cigar and told me sit down. I told them that I'd extinguish the cigar and leave if they give me a brand new one. The manager tried to 'reason' with me to leave - even though I was already smoking - and, as he was giving me a headache when I only wanted to sit down and enjoy a cigar - refusing to give me a new cigar and send me on my way -, he thought it appropriate to grab the cigar out of my mouth and extinguish it in the ash tray on the table. He was trying to put on a show for the cocktail waitresses, I think, and tried to kick us out with some fanfare. But I told him if he didn't give me a new cigar, I needed his owner's information so I could speak to him. He then begrudgingly gave me a new cigar and, as I was on my way out, he started to say some nonsense, such as "never come here again" (as if I'd ever dream of it). As I was finally leaving, he rushed after me and my guest threateningly, clearly threatening us with physical contact.
Comically bad experience. I'd recommend that no one go to this clownish place and the next time I go to Lancaster, I'll be looking forward to seeing this...
Read moreWe woke up this morning & decided on a road trip to Lancaster Cigar Bar. Well worth the 75 minute drive in the rain. First you walk in to a very welcoming lobby, around the corner is a beautiful bar/lounge area. We were immediately warmly greeted by Olivia, the staff member on duty. After a quick visit to the humidor, which has enough of a selection to find a great cigar without feeling overwhelmed, qwe decided to eat first. We ordered the fried pork with fried plantains and the chicken empanadas. As we were trying to decide if we should add fries to our order Olivia suggested we wait because she thought that the amount of food we were ordering would be plenty. I mention this because she could have just taken our money & let us order the fries, I am so glad she chimed in. The food was plenty for two of us. Thank you, Olivia for being honest. While we waited for our food I simply had to try the Espresso Martini 🍸! It did not disappoint, made with fresh brewed espresso, vodka & just enough rum to add a little sweetness I would definitely order this again! The best part, it pairs quite nicely with my Padron 1926 Exclusivo! Back to the food…the empanadas were huge, crispy, & delicious! The chicken filling was absolutely flavorful & very moist! The pork & plantains were plentiful & cooked to perfection! After lunch we decided to sit in the lounge for our smoke. The seats are super comfortable and set in groups 2 & 4 seats which make for a nice personal smoking session. My over all take on our experience is 10/10! I would highly recommend you visit this fine establishment. Don’t forget to try the espresso martini! BTW…there is a public parking lot attached to the building,...
Read moreNow charging a $20 “cutting” fee if you bring your own cigar.
Even if you bring your own cutter and lighter. Should have a minimum tab associated with charging the fee if they’re specifically trying to deter one specific person from taking up a table smoking and ordering waters. There’s plenty of empty tables, so this anecdote I was told to justify the fee doesn’t add up. Suggest drinking elsewhere if you have your own cigars until they sort this out. Funny the fee matches the mark up on their cigars.
If you want a drink expect to go get the waitress off her phone. She is very polite when you do find her though. Overall seems understaffed having one waitress for a whole bar, people need breaks.
Be careful ordering high end liquors, I’ve had a $30 pour poured over chipped ice and ruined. Always specify the type of ice here.
I used to love this bar but recently it seems like they’re struggling. Charging fees is not going to bring in more customers. Try to draw in more customers to your mostly empty bar with specials or live music like you did for your anniversary. Not push away the ones that do come in by charging them fees for what I can assume is not meeting some undefined minimum order. Would have gladly ordered...
