Went to the store and asked an employee if I could shop in the store, put items in my cart, as I scanned them into the cart in my app (in order to take advantage of the coupon) the reply was sure no problem either you can pick them or I can. This was asked at 8:22pm. About 6 minutes before closed the order was paid for and we presented the cart to same employee. It was about 10 items. I then went to the front and purchased a book while the order was being processed. All of a sudden wa gal with pink hair whom I assume to be the manager calls for me and tells me how this is unacceptable and it can not happen because she’s got too much other work to do. In a rather rude and condescending tone. She repeated herself several times. We told her that we had asked before doing so and apologized but she went on and on. She then walked to the back of the store complaining to the employee who had given us the go ahead- I approached them and said in a very friendly tone you know I’ll make this easier and just come back tomorrow. The pink haired lady said it’s ok we are almost done and then started the same spiel over and over again. My response was there is no need to repeat yourself I heard you the first time. I’m not sure what qualifies her to be a manager but she sure does not carry herself like one by any means! It is obvious this store does not value their customers at all - nor do they train their management how to keep customers happy and coming back. We felt like we were under attack for making the purchase and totally inconveniencing the store. In my opinion she could of told us the issue in a quieter non demanding manner, or asked if we could come back to pick it up, better yet when she learned an employee told us it was ok she should of stopped all disputes, given us our order with a smile and explained what should happen next time and calmly discussed with the employee who later. Read moreI came to edit my review. Recently they have had outstanding customer service. Thought in should come back and change my rating since my recent few shops have actually been really nice. Below is my old review I dont want to erase it though. But the bad service was a while back so I wanted to update.
By far the worst customer service. I needed 4 things of yarn. Of course they only had 4 on the shelf. 2 were unwound, cut and alittle dirty and didnt have the packaging, but maybe half was still useable so I grabbed them. At checkout I asked the return policy and she said they dont return damaged items or items without bar codes. These yarns were damaged and didnt have the bar codes. She mentioned maybe she could do 10% discount which isn't really great I said sure. She called an manager for approval and the manager refused to do it. usually they can do 10% for damaged items. Not today. Ok so they are too damaged to be returned, but not damaged enough for a discount? I wouldn't have purchased them if I didnt need them, but i did. Hopefully they can be used since they cant be returned. I also asked for an item to be price checked. The item was on the clearance rack with no price. I changed my mind on the item so the cashier handed it to an employee that was just standing there. The employee rolled her eye, loudly scoffed and when I looked at her she said "oh no I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at the cashier for accepting go backs." Hummmm so your mad because I dont want to get an item and your too lazy to do your job? It items had prices I wouldnt have to bring it to th front to ask. Just horrible customer service. Also she has every right to be annoyed that she has to put back an item I changed my mind on, but you dont act that way in front of the customer. Read moreThis store has really gone down hill within the last 2 years or so, no one greets you when you walk in like they used to. No one cares, there's no one on the sales floor to help customers either. I've come in several times and have been disappointed every. Single. Time. Whether it be due to a stock issue, nothing that interests me anymore after so many years, no help from staff, rude cashiers, etc. Recently we came in to get a set of colored pencils for my fiance who had just recently started drawing, as an artist myself I suggested he get a larger pack to have all colors he may need. We looked around a few aisles for someone, no luck. Went to the framing counter and hit the button twice, waited 10-15 minutes, no luck. Had to go upfront to ask a cashier to send someone, she contacted someone on the radio who we waited another 5-7 minutes for, she was very friendly but had the wrong kind of key to unlock the case. Waited for her to come back with the correct key to finally get our pencils, went up front to check out, put my things on the register and the cashier tells us "You can go to self checkout." Seemed like she was not at all interested in helping us. Another horrible experience at this location which is sad considering I used to love...
