The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the doctor, the young lady that was helping me with the exam, and also the young lady that was trying so hard to make it affordable for me to get my glasses that I needed so badly. One star for each of them awesome ladies. Now for the office itself I am so annoyed with this place. I have been needing glasses for a month or so now and I had to wait to get in to have an exam because the year wasn't up yet for my annual visit to be covered. I finally go here to have my exam and I'm told that I was diagnosed with an astigmatism when I was seen at their office about 4 or 5 yrs ago which was news to me. Nobody ever told me this. I was having double vision in one eye but never told this. But regardless, I require bifocals and opted for Progressive lenses since they don't have that sqare in the lenses. These are not cheap but it is what It is. I have always been able to get my progressive lenses and new frames that I like as well for a decent price. So paying extra for progressives is fine..or it was fine before. So as I wait to find out what the insurance covers I start looking around at all of the frames they have there. I can tell you that this place has not one single frame that us under $200 and that's pushing it because all the frames seem to be $300 and above. As a matter of fact the exact frames I was looking at because I had seen them online, and these here at Pearle Vision were marked up at the least 3x the price it is to buy them online brand new. Talk about a mark up!! That's price gouging at it's finest. So that's one thing ok whatever I'll just see what the insurance covers for my lenses and go from there. I sit down and they bring me out a tray of frames to look at because my insurance will only cover up to I think she said $100. I said ok that's fine I'm sure I'll find something in here. I'm looking at them and they all seemed to be unisex and they were awful. Not the shape I need for my face at all and the colors were so basic and I mean basic black, blue, brown, and clear. Maybe a red or purple pair too but they were all plastic and cheap. It didn't take me long to say no I'm not liking any of rhese. I expected someone to say well let's get another tray and you can look at those, or we will get you some frames you will like. But nope instead that was my only option, they took the tray and I sat down to see how much the lenses would be. So, not only are the frames ugly that I was shown but the others were way too much to pay when I can buy online for 3x less and planned on doing just that after I get the total for the lenses. They manage to tell me that just the lenses without frames is over $400 And it's more or just a tad bit less for me to pay without using my insurance. And that's only for one set of lenses and I usually get 2 sets for less than that combined with new frames. I can not believe the pricing they gave for their frames let alone the lenses. I am still without glasses that I need badly because I can't afford any of it even if I get the ugly bifocal's!!! I can't afford the frames. This is ridiculous and you all at Pearle Vision should be ashamed of yourselves making people pay all that money just so you can fatten your pockets. Don't you make enough from all the exams you do? You all have succumbed to the greed in this world and that's a damn shame because you all used to be my go to for a good pair of glasses or two. I will never step foot in another one of your stores or exam rooms again. Thanks for my prescription I will be going elsewhere. Unbelievable just...
Read moreDo you value your money? If so, don't spend it here! if not, you would not be reading this review anyway. So many different problems with one place it is remarkable that they stay in business. I could write an entire webpage about this place. That is how truly awful it is. I will try my best to keep it short and direct to not exceed the limit of characters on this review. #1.) Make sure they are actually billing your insurance if you have insurance. Make sure you know what your insurance covers. Of course we have copays or have to pay for what insurance does not cover if you like extras. Since debit - cash is much faster to process, that is what this place tries first. I paid for an entire visit one year without realizing it. The next year I went back, (only because I liked the frames I got from there before.) and they tried to do it again. As if they don't accept my insurance... which they do and eventually did... but acted like they "Couldn't find it.". Ok... Sure.. #2.) The frames. I had trouble ordering Oakley frames with them. I ordered the same exact frames from this location before. In fact I order the same ones every year because they are the only frames I have found that fit me. I am a big guy and the lady in charge of the frames really tried to convince me to buy frames that were about 3 sized too small. Seriously. Too lazy to just get on the computer and order frames in my size. I wished this was the worst of it. #3.) After my glasses were ordered and paid for they came in a month later... with the wrong prescription. Took them back. They made them again it was wrong. This time the pupil placement was way off. It was so bad I could not even use the glasses to see across the room. Re-made the order again and came back. Now all of a sudden the transition lenses were.. well not there. I always bring a black-light to test the lenses. But this time they tried to fight me.. they wanted to charge me for the transitions that I already paid for and never received. I had the receipt. I just never got what I paid for. They were not happy and tried charging me some fee of $30, when I asked what exactly the $30 was for they literally could not tell me. I said I have no problem paying the $30 if they forgot to charge me for something, I just want to know what it was that they didn't charge me for. They got the manager, she came and talked to me and could not give an on paper explanation. I said I paid for the glasses, I never got them. Not my fault. So I said I want my money back or the glasses I ordered. Well this time she got it done... They came in a month later. although they were correct this time. #4.) The protection plan is a scam. They have not honored it once. Always find a loophole to get out of fixing an issue. Although this place looks clean, friendly and inviting... it is far from it. Best way I can describe this place is scam. I have been to small shops in the middle of the ghetto and had way better experiences than at this place which carries a well known name. I know I am not going back ever again. I would not recommend getting anything done here. As someone that has worn glasses for the last 25 years... This is by far the worse experience I...
Read moreI am writing because I have a complaint about this store location. By the way I have never wrote a complaint before so I hope not to come off as a nagging customer. Any who I broke my glasses around the beginning of this month. I went in to see if they can fix them because the piece that goes around my ears broke completely off and was not fixable. So since its been almost two years since I have been because of financial issues I decided to go ahead and do the exam and checked everything else while I was there because I have a astigmatism in both eyes and wanted to be safe. I went ahead and paid the extra for a contact exam as well because I have never had contacts before but I needed to go home with something that night because my glasses were broke and I can barely see especially at night. So I take all the exams and close to the end the exam lady was getting frustrated because I kept having to see which contact exam was best. So she comes in and I get a set of contacts. We sat over 15 minutes for them to adjust and even longer because I kept telling her I still couldn't see as clear as I should. She finally said keep them for the night and they should adjust. So then I go out front to finish my visit by picking out glasses etc..after spending over $400 dollars with insurance I told the people out front helping me with my glasses about how I couldn't see clear with the contacts and they said it shouldn't take that long to adjust and I should be able to see clear. But the lady said come back the next day if it still feels the same. So as I was driving home, I could tell right away that I couldn't see because the night lights were very blurry to me. So the very next day after school and tutoring my students, I go straight there. I told the lady at the front desk that I came back because the contacts were not working at all and I still cant see. She says all the doctors are close to leaving because some meeting and I couldn't be helped. But I told the lady that I have a 3 year old and its dangerous to drive at night and in this weather (it was snowing which in Vegas, we haven had snow since 2008) so the roads were crazy at that time and I still had to drive to work in that weather condition. After leaving the store and them knowing I cant see, I sat in my car and felt helpless and was the first time I felt the way I felt about a company. I know they had time to help but didn't want to probably. So they schedule me for a COUPLE days later (all while driving in this weather and couldn't see...had to basically tape my glasses to my face while driving ) and when I come in for the next visit, I see a guy doctor and he changes the brand and prescription and then they were fine. Then they were trying to get me to buy contacts and I said no. I don't want to buy contacts from a company after they treated me that way
But I just wanted this company to be aware of how this stores not only customer service in the front was rude but the eye exam doctors too.
I hope you contact this store and maybe teach them some kindness, caring, and empathy for other. I have been a customer for years now and this location ruins your business name. :(
thank you for your time...
