Stoneback Appliance — Attraction in Lawrence

I was so confused about buying a washer, I actually cried a bit over all the information. Impeller or agitator? Front load or top load? Were the government regulations over water levels still in place? It was overwhelming. I shopped around and every place wanted to charge an outrageous fee to deliver, install and take away my old machine.

I drove to Stoneback and a very nice man named Andy helped me so much. He answered all my questions and he did not try to oversell me. He showed me just what I needed and nothing more. Better still- no charge for delivery, installation or take away. And he did not try to pressure me into a warranty. I had to ask him about the warranty. WOW.

The other man who helped me was Jimmy. He was so nice and he even scheduled delivery for the same day as purchase. He said the drivers should be at my place between 4-5 pm. They showed up at 4:05 pm and were as nice and professional as can be.

Could not be happier with the sales and installation of my new Whirlpool. I will never mess with Big Box stores again. Love this store and the people...

Bought a used washer and dryer. Washer came with a small leak, which Stoneback fixed right away. But in the same call I told them the “check vent” light was on and there was A LOT of lint in the catcher when it was delivered, so I thought it might just need vacuumed out. This suggestion was ignored by the technician that showed up and I was advised the roof vent must be clogged but it would probably be fine if I just ignored it. Within a few days I saw an ad on tiktok for a vacuum attachment and brush specifically for getting into the lint catching area of a dryer. I thought I’d try vacuuming it myself. I bought the little kit, used the brush to scrub the lint out and the attachment to vacuum it up, and wouldn’t you know! A full vacuum canister of lint later- The light turned off and hasn’t turned back on again! I sure am glad I didn’t believe the tech, doing so would’ve maintained an increased fire risk. Maybe take customer suggestions a little more seriously if they seem applicable and kinda...

AMAZING! We were DESPERATE! Our washing machine "died," and reliable appliance repair service was not available for 2 weeks ... finally able to look at our machine and ... the cost to repair was just a bit less that the cost of a new one, "If you can find one and IF it's in stock and IF they can deliver it fairly soon." We turned to Stoneback Appliance, just a few blocks from our home and YAHOO! I walked in the door, there was JUST the machine I wanted at a cost that was reasonable. Associate quickly handled the sale, delivery was arranged for the next day and I walked out of the door SO RELIEVED! Once at home, I received a call letting me know there had been a cancellation and my machine could be delivered that afternoon!!! Not only was the machine installed quickly and efficiently BUT they went ahead and filled out the warranty papers for me, sent them in and we were good to GO! I would give them 10 stars if possible... THANKS...
