VASKA Theatre — Attraction in Lawton

Vintage, authentic movie memorabilia, spacious seating, a few booths by the back of the theatre that include tables for ease in all the wonderful snacks, foods and drinks they offer... And the prices. The prices are wonderful.

My wife and I went here to watch the new Spiderman movie, and for 2 tickets, a pickle, a package of cotton candy, a large popcorn, large drink, and Nachos with cheese and jalapenos, it was under $40 dollars. Again, a BRAND NEW MOVIE. Also, you get 1 free refill on anything with "large" in the name, so long as it's before 10pm.

The staff are friendly and you can tell they are passionate about their business. It warms my heart to still see them showing movies and doing their best. Please...

Historic place frozen in time. We walked in and the attendant was very friendly. $15 date deal includes 2 tickets, 2 candy, 1 lg popcorn, 1 lg drink, with one free refill. They played older style music while the screen remained black where ads would be. The theatre is huuge, super dark with very dim light fixtures lining the walls, and feels like a very old movie theatre. The seats are "broken in" from decades of use and some seats are missing. This place seems like the owners try their best to take care of the place.

They also have an outdoor drive in screen on the side of the building, which is neat.

Overall, the place is not very well lit, which gives the theatre a sort of gloomy feel to it. Like sitting next to your sick dog that you are about to put down, this place has many...

It amazes me that the vaska theater never has bad reviews, yet many of my friends who have been there have given low rating reviews of the staff and food, yet they are never seen. I chose to see for myself and try it out and well, it is not all that cracked up. The day I went, we saw the employee (2), serve food after blowing nose, wiping a mess of floor and never washing their hands. The same employee that handled the money then put their hands in the popcorn, again not washing. This place does not have hygiene cleanliness or proper food handling. Disgusting!!!! Even though their prices for tickets are lower, I would rather pay extra elsewhere just for cleanliness.
