Hi (: Hereâs a simple and honest review.
I originally read the reviews onlineâa mix of good and badâso I went into the shop and asked for a small sample of the Dubai chocolate. The man inside seemed hesitant and was also on FaceTime with someone, which I thought was kind of funny. At first, he refused to give me a sample until I mentioned I saw online that other people had received one before purchasing. He went quiet, then went to the back and grabbed me a sample, which honestly felt a bit shady.
I tried it. The middleâthe pistachio butter and fillingâcouldâve been better. The filling was very crunchy, which was nice, but the pistachio butter didnât taste as rich or flavorful as others Iâve had from different bars and shops. The overall taste fell short for me.
When I looked at the bars in the fridge, I noticed they were cracked. For the price theyâre charging, thatâs kind of ridiculous. Honestly, youâre better off getting similar bars from Costco or other places.
The owner often replies to peopleâs complaints on here, which is fine, but overall, the price just isnât worth it for the qualityâat least compared to other Dubai...

Also, I didnât leave my review to get a refund, and I donât need one. What really frustrates me is that the chocolate tasted sour and spoiled, unless you intentionally put some lemon in it. And the worst part is that I shared it with other people. âââââââââââââââââââ UPDATED (2/13) â OMG, I gave the milk chocolate one to my husband to share with his workout friends, and he just called me that everyone spat it out, saying it tasted sour. Are you sure this was made today? âââââââââââââââââââ (2/13) If youâre expecting a crispy texture, this Dubai chocolate might disappoint you. I paid $17 each for two, hoping for the viral version, but it was just soft and creamy, not the buttery, toasted Kadayif texture. The taste wasnât a rich pistachio jam flavor eitherâmore like overcooked noodles mixed with jam. If you like a very soft texture, it might be worth trying, but it was definitely an unexpected...
Read moreI'm reading the reviews here to see what I missed, and why this place has such a high rating, as it doesn't match my opinion. I bought 3 large bars of chocolate in peanut butter, Nutella, and pistachio. Being the price was ridiculous, I imagined it must be the most outstanding chocolate, so I paid more than $55.00 total. The lady owner was super friendly, and a great saleswoman. She truly believes in her product. Sadly, it was ALL very disappointing. The inside of the chocolate bar is stuffed with a shredded wheat type of filling surrounded by a thin layer of chocolate. The reviews here indicate they make good shakes, and that some like this chocolate. I honestly can't see how anyone thinks this is good chocolate. I'm thinking they've must of never had seriously good chocolate before to compare it. I'm glad she has customers who like it, but I will not be going back. I'm sorry to leave this honest review. I like supporting family businesses. But you need to know what you're getting before you buy it. My advice: Stick...
