Kancamagus Recreation Area — Attraction in Lincoln

On January 24, 2025, my family and I visited this location to go sledding. While there, a very pleasant and courteous officer informed us that sledding was not allowed. We appreciated his professionalism and kindness in explaining the situation.

However, we wanted to raise our concern regarding the signage. The current signs suggest the area is open to the public, and there are no visible notices indicating that sledding is prohibited. If sledding is not allowed, we believe it would be helpful to have more prominent and visible signage in the middle of the area to avoid confusion for visitors.

We were there for a celebration. Very clean place for a gathering with plenty to do for all ages. They have a playground, big open fields and an abundance of trails and this is only from spring till fall. Winter the mountain becomes a winters playground. Snowboarding, skiing, snowshoeing the list could go on . Then there's the views...

Beautiful Area. Loved our mini stay here. Our daughter enjoyed the swings while we had our picnic. Quite and serene. Don't know why it has less reviews. I'm sharing them from our little trip.
