One star only because I cannot give zero. We were visiting from out of state and were looking forward to eating here. Medical issues are preventing us to be able to go out to sit to eat. I call to order take out, and no one picks up the phone. The automated message advises either someone stepped away from the phone or they are helping another customer and to try calling back. No big deal. So I call multiple times trying to catch someone. Never do. Try option 1 for host instead of option 2 for take out, still unable to get in touch with someone. So I figure no worries, I will drive there to put in my to go order, as they must be busy. The sign as I enter stated "take out limited". I go to the Take Out register, and a girl was there initially as I walked up but she stepped away to clean a table, and did not acknowledge me at all. I figure okay, they are busy, no big deal. Another guy keeps walking back and forth, never saying anything to me. After waiting about 10 minutes, completely ignored, I ask someone if there is anyone taking to go orders. I was then told "we aren't doing take out tonight". If the automated message that I listened to when I tried calling to order take out said that, I wouldn't have continued to try calling, or made the 17 minute drive there to order take out in person. If the sign outside said "take out not available" instead of "take out limited", I wouldn't have gone in to stand there completely ignored for 10 minutes. Completely unacceptable and my family is now disappointed. There was no apology or anything from the young kid who told me they weren't taking to go orders. I'm sure the food would have been good if I had the opportunity to try it. Please attempt to update your voicemail/outside sign/website if you are in fact not doing take out orders. Not all families are...
Read moreJust had a phenomenal dinner at Black Mountain Burger & Co in Lincoln, NH that exceeded all expectations. Let me tell you about two incredible burgers that showcase their culinary expertise:
Their Brie & Bacon Burger is a masterpiece of flavors - perfectly melted brie cheese paired with crispy bacon, topped with fresh arugula, creating an elegant twist on a classic burger. The rich, creamy brie perfectly complements the savory bacon, while the peppery arugula adds a fresh kick.
The Bison Burger is equally impressive - juicy and perfectly cooked, topped with melted cheese, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and crisp pickles. The bison meat is lean yet incredibly flavorful, offering a delicious alternative to traditional beef.
The Cajun-dusted French fries deserve their own mention - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of Cajun seasoning that adds a delightful kick without overwhelming the palate.
Special shout-out to our server Mariah, who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness really enhanced our dining experience.
The attention to detail in both food preparation and presentation is evident, and the portion sizes are generous. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Whether you're a local or just passing through Lincoln, Black Mountain Burger & Co is a must-visit destination for burger enthusiasts. They've mastered the art of gourmet burgers while maintaining that perfect casual dining vibe.
Highly recommended - this place is absolutely worth every one of its 5...
Read moreShort story: Good Burger (when cooked right), absolutely terrible service and horrible experience.
Food: Some of the burgers were great. Some were very undercooked and clearly rushed (after 40 minutes).
Atmosphere: Party of 9 with 4 kids, they sat us outside which was covered, but with high winds and rain blowing sideways, it was a terrible atmosphere/situation. And when it takes almost 45 minutes for food to arrive after ordering, it’s pretty miserable.
Service: Because we were sat outside and eventually the only table out there in a storm, we felt forgotten. The drink order was prompt, but then took 15 mins. Food order was taken 30 mins after seating. One app (soup) was brought promptly. 30 mins later, the waitress came to tell us it would be another 10-15 mins and that “the order was only put in 20 minutes ago”. (Which was a lie, manager confirmed order time later). 15 minutes later went inside and talked to manager. A couple minutes later, he said we were next. Food came, and the weather got worse. Two burgers undercooked (Med rare), but after such a long wait we couldn’t wait anymore. Server dropped check.
No apologies from server. No comps or discounts of any kind. No visit from manager to check on us and apologize. No effort whatsoever to help make things right or make us happy.
After so many years in food business, I’ve not seen such a lack of empathy for when things go wrong. Obviously the kitchen can get slammed on a Friday night, but for the server/manager make no attempt to provide any hospitality in such a bad situation is...
