We stayed in Room 233 under Airbnb with the host Ryan. This host told me to refrain from leaving a review, so I am going to leave a very detailed one. It’s unfortunate because this would be a 5-star review for a great place, but the host has been a nightmare. He was concerned about when exactly we were checking in and we gave him updates as we were traveling - no rules were broken. He was very rude because we checked in at 9pm after telling him we wanted to get dinner at a local restaurant before the kitchen closes and told us we should have checked in first and this is not a hotel. He also has interior video and audio recording which was prohibited by Airbnb in 2024. Lastly, he threatened to leave us a bad review after we left the AC’s on, which he did not specify to turn off after the place was 84 degrees upon check-in in the middle of summer. He only asked us to take trash out and leave used towels in a tub. Please get a detailed instruction manual if you want guests to follow exactly your rules. Will not stay here ever again.
A check-in time is so cleaners can have sufficient time to clean in between guests. We have never stayed at an Airbnb where the host was so concerned about exactly when we were checking in. He has a lockbox and a keypad for flexibility, yet he acted as if we were inconveniencing him. Very far from the “friendly and laid back” description he states in his Airbnb bio.
It’s unfortunate we had this bad experience with this host because this place would have been so great...
Read moreWe used Airbnb to rent a 2 bedroom unit which was spacious and fit our group of 2 adults and three children perfectly. The kitchen was outfitted with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc...The kids really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and game room. The location is close to everything and walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the movie theater. We drove our own car to Loon but noticed that a convenient shuttle stops right at the back door. The drawbacks for this unit are in the building itself. It is old, worn, and tired but still lovely in a nostalgic way. The problem is that the public spaces are saturated in deoderizers and carpet cleaning solvents to the point that it reeks like a teenage boy wearing AXE cologne spray. My allergies were in full tilt even though I quickly moved from the back door to the elevator every time I came in. The walls are thin between the unit and the exteriors and late night rumblings up and down the hallways as well as a barking dog were loud enough to disturb my sleep. In addition, my husband was quite surprised to find a group of teenage girls in the men's locker space to access the sauna. Finally, we discovered that the Inn has it's own rental programs for owners and management does not recognize nor support guests who are staying through Airbnb or other private arrangements - so bring your own...
Read moreStayed here via VRBO reservation in #319 for a summer weekend trip. The overall vibe is a bit towards vintage 80's mostly in terms of age. The pool areas are nice. The basement has foosball, air hockey, and corn hole, and exercise rooms.
The room and resort have been maintained, but you can still see the wear and tear of the years. Walking down the hallways is a bit noisy due to the wood construction.
This unit was well stocked for an easy stay with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Like the rest of the place relatively clean and maintained, but still a bit of wear. So not exactly luxury, but functional and a pleasant stay.
I wouldn't recommend the place for those with any mobility challenges as there are stairs all over. You can't enter the front of the building without a few stairs. One ramp in the rear, but it is...
