I'm giving this place a 4 because if you're looking for candy, you'll find it here. They have a WIDE assortment of most flavors of any candy you grew up eating but also some not so famous types and although this location is not in the Guiness World Record book, it's still boasting a huge collection. They have a very limited sugar free section with about 6 types of chocolate. Malt balls, Espresso, peanuts, bridge mix, chocolate balls, etc. In the regular sugar section, there's anything you might be craving. They also have hot sauces and a souvenir type section at the back corner, if you're looking for a t-shirt or jam, etc. Selective/few items in that section! They have a truffle section but no sugar-free items there. Those are at $25.99 per pound and ALL other candy is going for $16.99 per pound. Pre-packaged candy has its own individual pricing. They provide you with disposable gloves because you have to dig for the chocolate from the jars, with your hands. They also provide you with little paper bags to place your items and since everything in jars is the same price, you can mix anything in your 1 bag or get multiple bags of items, up to you! Loads of free parking outside but as people mention, this place is in a plaza with many other establishments so it's hard to miss, if you don't know it's there. I didn't see any labels to know if any of these are locally made or fresh good quality chocolate but if you're looking for something fast and simple and you're in the local area, it's definitely...
ย ย ย Read moreWe've been going to Chutters in Littleton for over 15 years. Every time it's a great experience. Until Friday July 26th. IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. The staff are fairly helpful. And quite nice. (Highlights include a girl kindly reading to me each flavor of fudge so I could prepare a large order to take back to Rhode Island) But that Friday, the nice gentleman that waited on me and the kids at the fudge counter was simply outstanding. He was descriptive with the flavors, patient as we made such important decisions and then offered to mark each box so we knew which box had what. That small gesture went such a long way. It really saved me so much hassle! Usually I have to inspect the boxes and guess/determine the owners. The gentleman suggested he had been there for longer than a lot of the staff but he really just made such a difference. He wasn't stressing or hurried. We were made to feel like the only customers in the store and not at the front of a line of folks waiting to order their precious treats. Well...
ย ย ย Read moreThis location is fairly low key on the outside, unless you're looking, it's easy to overlook. I do recommend a stop inside as they have one of the longest candy jar counters I've seen in many years. They also have table tops displayed with novelty candies and a huge selection of fresh fudge in cases by the register. The staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy the tourists. It's been a long time since I could grab a paper bag full of the exact candies that I wanted, including some old fashioned favorites like coconut bars, Brach's caramels for the hubby, and some of the retro specialty candies I haven't seen in decades. I'm also obsessed with swirly lollipops and they have the biggest one on the wall that I've ever seen. Worth a stop, but I would definitely love to see more colors on the outside or on the walls inside to make it even more of a magical destination! I've seen pictures of the Littleton location and love the pink and purple theme along with flower boxes and was hoping to see a similar...
