Nachos Mexican Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Lincoln

I literally had to place a charge back on this restaurant after our experience. Got all my money back because it was so awful.

It’s really obvious that they buy reviews and have negative ones removed because this place is absolutely microwaved trash. So many red flags.. the first one being that they advertise that they are known for burgers but it’s a Mexican place.

I came here with 8 of my friends. There were several servers working, the place was mostly empty. Our server was nice but clearly inexperienced. Some of my friends were skeptical looking at the menu and kitchen, so we kept our order to a minimum. We had just done a big hike and we were hungry and this place was open so we kind of defaulted to it.. I would have preferred common man or Gordon’s.

2 of the kids shared a plate of fries, another had a burrito burger, and 3 shared some nachos. I had a quesadilla, which was just cheese and chicken.. I had asked for some other things in it but she said they didn’t do that. My friend got some hard tacos that had zero crunch and were all chewy. I think most of us tried to finish our food because we were hungry, but also because I was paying for the whole meal and my friends didn’t want to be wasteful. A lot of food was left on the table, though cause it was just not good. We didn’t feel good after - some of us vomited.

The ice cubes tasted like chemicals, so even with the canned seltzer the drink was disgusting. We got 3 seltzers and I did tell my waitress we were unhappy with the quality of food and beverages. She did not get a manager. She did not apologize or attempt to make it up to us. Instead, she charged me extra for things - including onion rings we never received and an extra seltzer. $12 was just seltzer that tasted like bleach. Horrible. I paid the tab with the built in 20% tip and we left. Once we were out of there, we all started talking about how horrible it was all around. When we went back in to talk to the manager, she was so rude! She got very defensive, completely unapologetic. She told my friend he didn’t like the food because he’s Hispanic - WILD RACISM! The manager gave me $11 back for the chemical water but we still were pretty unhappy with the outcome. We tried to tell her that her customer service wasn’t on par and she got more defensive, told us, “we did good enough, get out” and then told her employee to call the police on us. Obviously we left but we definitely will never go there again. I would NOT recommend coming here. If you want Mexican, you’re better off...

ATTENTION, ALERT ALERT!!! I usually do not fill out reviews, but this place was so BAD, I felt the need to keep someone else to subject themselves to this terrible food. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been in. I would have given it a zero if I could. They’ve figured out a way to game Google or something, 4.7 rating is laughable. This food had ZERO flavor, was not fresh(it came out in less than 5 minutes). I don’t know what kind of chicken that was, it will be a miracle if we don’t all get sick. The owner/mgr came out and I told him the problem, asked him if he ate this food. The server argued over the meal and how bad it was, the water was also bad. The server was pointing at my food as if I’d ate enough of this garbage or pay for it. I paid for my wife’s and sons food. Son didn’t eat all of his, they gave him a black bean burrito(clearly canned), this place has no refried beans(never been to a Mexican restaurant that didn’t have refried beans). My first clue should have been to read all of these bad reviews, and then their sign says “best burger in town.” Lmao. Their burgers get bad reviews here too. Don’t eat at this place, save your money. It was incredibly bad and arguably the WORST food I’ve ever had. The server was trying to argue with the mgr/owner. The whole meal should have been comped, but no problem.

Edit* After going through and reading several “5 star” reviews of this terrible place, it’s clear someone is just doing fake ones to balance out real paying customers giving legitimate bad surveys for the horrible food. Someone named “Claudia Olivera” has used her account several times using name variations. Look in the last hour of my posted reviews they’ve had 5 generic fake ones right after mine to balance out the bad one I have, look at the names and no comments just 5 star, lol. I’M REPORTING ALL OF THESE FAKE REVIEWS AS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST AS SOMEONE FROM THE BUSINESS IS DOING THESE REVIEWS.

We’ve been eating at several great seafood restaurants in Boston, here, Portland, and Kennebunkport, just wanted a change from all the great seafood we’ve had. DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE!! Might as well flush 60-100 bucks down the toilet instead of eating this food. It’ll be a miracle if we aren’t all praying to the porcelain god today and tonight throwing up the little bit of food we did eat.

Anyone who says that this is the best Mexican food that they have ever had has clearly not been to any real Mexican restaurant, food truck or establishment OR they are lying, or Both. This is the least Mexican food restaurant I have ever been too, in my entire life. The fact that they advertise "Best Burger Around" on a sign in front of their building should tell you this ! Yes this Mexican restaurant advertises BEST BURGER, Not best Taco, Nacho, Burrito and/or Enchilada etc. This is a huge tell and 40 % of their menu is burgers and their kids menu is chicken tenders or hot dogs. Remember, this is a Mexican restaurant, right ? Seriously now, call it what it is. A grille that serves a bunch of stuff. This is not Mexican, in any way shape or form. I'm from California, I know Mexican food and trust me if you enjoy Mexican then drive by this place. However, if you are looking to get full, it's fine. Trust me, I wanted it to be a good Mexican place. I was excited. I really did. But when my chicken and cheese chimichanga, which was part of a 3 item sampler plate, tasted like a chicken parmesan sandwich I knew I was not in a Mexican restaurant. If you don't trust me order the plate and you too can taste a Mexican version of chicken parmesan in a burrito. It had Italian tomato sauce on it and in it. You can't make this stuff up. Trust me, it's not good! It does not belong at a so called Mexican restaurant and it doesn't belong at an Italian restaurant either. The other sign is that there is Gobs of cheese on everything to cover up the non-Mexican food flavor. I hope you get Mexican down, as I would love to try you again, but at this moment a Mexican restaurant that specializes in burgers is a HUGE RED FLAG. And lastly they charge you for using a credit card, before even knowing you will be using a credit card!?!? Yes you read that right. I got the bill and I was charged a 3.5 % fee for using a credit card, yet they had no idea if I was paying with cash or card yet, but had already received a 3.5% charge for doing so.
