I usually only try to write positive reviews because I am also in the restaurant industry for 32 years now..I even waited a day to write this to really wrap my head around the entire situation that happened while dining with my family. I have to say that this place will go down in history, for my entire family, as the rudest dining experience of our lives. With this being how I make a living as well, I now realize why guests that come into dine appreciate kindness and feeling welcomed. We ended up at this establishment by accident. It was on a Monday, most places since covid are closed on Monday due to lack of help, my establishment included. So to people that are trying to find a place to eat while traveling can be a challenge as well as the places that do decide to stay open on Monday and Tuesday can be overwhelmed. When entering establishment, we were greeted, by a short haired older lady. She wasn't very welcoming but we just shrugged it off. We had the choice to sit inside or out. We chose outside seating. Our server was a young lady, we forget her name. She did have dark hair with a friendly smile and very welcoming. She was so nice that even my 10 year old daughter remarked how nice she was to us. She took our order right away and was prompt with drinks. We noticed, while sitting, waiting for our dinner, about 5pm, people started coming in and there seemed to be a lot of takeout so we were fine with the longer wait for our food. We received our meal but unfortunately our kind waitress misheard one of our items so it was sent back immediately and corrected. She was apologetic with a smile. Again, with myself being in industry, we accidentally miss hear people or ring in wrong item on occasion. We are human and bound to mess up when dealing with 100's of people in day. Even with that happening we were all very happy, enjoying our experience sitting in their patio area even though it started raining. The waitress delivered our wings correctly, my other half ordered another beer at that time. We had the re-cook wings for about 10 minutes, still had almost a full beer left minding our business, eating and enjoying our dinner. The older lady that first greeted us with short silver hair and glasses, came out, was cleaning other table and told us they were getting busy and that they will need our table soon so we knew. We, at first looked at each other, looked at her, mind you she wasn't out server nor was she near us, when it clicked in my head of what she just said, I responded in shock asking her are you kicking us out? She said I'm telling you we are getting busy and need your table. I responded with are you kidding me, we are still eating, drinking, only had our food for a total of 15 minutes after waiting a half hour for our food to begin with. If we wanted take out we would have ordered takeout. We were so insulted and appalled , I told her you get us boxes and the bill. Our server came out with a smile saying I heard you all were ready to go. We told her no, the other waitress told us we need to leave, she was shocked at our response, she apologized, we asked if the old lady was the owner, she said she had no more power than her. She told us to stay and finish but we were so upset at the way this women talked to us we had no plans on staying where we were not welcome and told to leave in the middle of our meal. I, nor my family, have ever experienced such rudeness from anyone while dining that we received from this older women. I have never been talked to or treated in such a manner. This women should not be serving if she is that unhappy or whatever her reason is. As a waitress/ waiter, we do not get payed by the company. We make $2 something an hour from employer. The guests that choose to eat at the establishments we work at are the one's that help us make a living and pay our bills. We should be making people feel welcomed and appreciated not like they are an inconvenience and unwanted. I hope this women reads this. It matters how we choose to talk to people, tone...
Read moreI'd give it 0 stars if I could. Was very busy today at all restaurants so we just stopped in here and it was busy also. No problem. 3 people in front of us standing in line left bc nobody acknowledged them. The guy at the register was rude to a guy who was standing at the register waiting to place an order but because he didnt know what to order right then, he said rudely "just go look at the menu outside and come back to order then." The rude tone was uncalled for. I figured, well it wasn't to me so no harm. One of the waiters asked us if we had ordered and I responded "No. We are looking to eat in if you have a table." He told us "wait a sec and let me check." So we stood where we had been the whole time, waiting on him to come back (no more than 30 seconds when the waiter left us to check) when the RUDE guy at the register came to us saying "have you ordered? In a rude tone again" And I responded "no, we are trying to eat in." And before I could tell him the other guy was checking a table, he rudely said "well go outside and we will get you." I tried to explain the guy was coming to let us know about a table and he kept saying "go outside, go outside." At this time, the guy came and said he had a table but the register guy was still being rude. So I told him forget it. Won't be spending my money at an establishment with someone so rude to multiple patrons. There was no hostess stand nor any employee standing outside either... so it wasn't like we skipped by a hostess stand. Whoever the guy working the register tonight, I understand it was crowded and yall were busy, but check your tone and how you...
Read moreShort story: the host (maybe owner based on past reviews) was unnecessarily rude and left a bad taste in my mouth. Very hesitant to come back, despite liking the food.
Long story:
For takeout, when I curiously asked about a price discrepancy between their website's PDF menu and my receipt (after I paid unfortunately), the host was confrontational and denied that the menu could his restaurant's, before eventually changing his response that the menu is 7 years old. He made it feel like it was my fault for not knowing their menu was out of date. (I realized only after the fact there's a couple versions of the menu floating around on their actual website, so beware). A friendly "sorry for the misunderstanding, but we've updated the menu and prices," instead of the demeaning attitude I got instead, would have sufficed for me, as it was over a trivial couple dollars.
To potential customers who walked up to ask about a table, he shortly told them the place was closed (despite Google saying it was open and the place looking as such, so fair ask). If those people tried to respond at all, he just cut them off with another "We're CLOSED."
Finally, it was hypocritical to require patrons to wear masks, but the host himself was not wearing one.
Unrelated to him, but they ran out of chili. :(
Typically when I've gone, food is yummy and waitstaff is great, but I really didn't enjoy my experience this time because...
