I was at gateway mall in Lincoln Ne. casually shopping around to add to my wedding ring for our 15 year anniversary next October.. after visiting many stores and trying on bands that would accent my existing ring including the store it was originally purchased from, it was very clear I needed to have it rhodium-plated again (as it does wear over time) and the brand new bands looked pristine and mine was dull so I was going to send it off to have it redipped but having to wait a week and a half to get it back and not having my cards with me that day and still wasn't sure if I would be charged for it even though they found everything on the computer, they needed to see it on the card to make sure I purchase the extra extended warranty, I just figured I would stop back at another time with my cards. As we were leaving the mall my daughter suggested we stop at Riddle's as it was on our way out, I told her I had never shopped there before and was probably a little pricey for me but we would browse through anyway :-) we were greeted very warmly, as we were by the other jewelry stores as well, but the atmosphere was so inviting and we had a great time trying on accent rings to match my current wedding ring, the staff was very helpful pulling out any and as many rings as we wanted to try on and we did not feel like we were being bothersome, as the staff knew my anniversary was not for another year and chances of a sale that day were slim to none because we could always return.. they asked me if they could clean my ring while we were still browsing and maybe it would look a little more like it would match to the new ones. When they brought my ring back a few minutes later, they had redipped it and it looked just as new and pristine as the ones I was trying on. I was really taken back by this, it even put tears in my eyes as they went above and beyond to make my experience in their store one that will be unforgettable. I ended up putting the bands on layaway as they accented my ring perfectly,, and they had just been marked down,, and figured I would have a few months to pay it off and hold onto them until our 15 year wedding anniversary. I told my husband the story when I got home and he said "wow" hopefully you gave them your business, I said " yes I did "as a matter of fact.... I went back and got the bands the next day.. I will be returning to get them all soldered together which by the way is done in-house at no cost.. I cannot speak highly enough about Riddles and their customer service. And my original thought that they were too pricey for me,, I was very much mistaken, I was very impressed with the sales that they were having and the prices were absolutely unbeatable and the fact that they are a family-owned store it's just one...
Read moreI went to Riddle’s to have my gold rope chain repaired. The clasp needed replaced and a few spots in the chain had frays that needed repaired. The manager I spoke with took my chain and showed it to someone in the back that I assumed was the goldsmith. The manager returned to describe to me the needed repairs and to give me a quote, which included a one year warranty on the repairs. I agreed to the charges and signed the required paperwork. Less than a week later I was alerted that the repairs were finished and I went and picked up my chain. All repairs looked acceptable and I paid the representative helping me, who was a different person than the manager I spoke with originally. Approximately two weeks later, one of the repairs failed so I took it back in knowing it was under warranty. I again talked to a new representative who stated the repairs are typically covered for one year but noticed a note on my repair order that stated “no warranty”. Apparently the person making the repairs discovered my chain was stretched and they couldn’t honor the one year warranty. This was not communicated to me before the repairs were made or even when I picked it up and paid for the repairs. Had I known the repairs wouldn’t be warrantied, I wouldn’t have invested in the repairs and would have instead purchased a new chain. In summary, I experienced poor communication and no effort to make...

I got a special cross necklace from there and the clasp broke so I took it in to see if they could fix it. After standing around waiting for there employees to stop chatting, I finally get help and the lady was rude and NOT helpful!!!They acted like they couldn’t tell it came from there, couldn’t look my husbands name up without the inspection card and they would have to charge me 45 dollars and send it off, just To replace the clasp! Needless to say I left in tears. I went over to Riddle’s Jewelry and right away a super nice lady Megan asked me what was wrong and if she could help me. I told her what just happened and she said give me your necklace , I will be right back! Literally 5 min later she fixed it!!! On top of it all, she didn’t charge me. I’m so very thankful for her compassion and understanding of my situation and how this necklace means so much to me! I will forever be a customer of Riddle’s Jewelry.
