Horrible experience. Went shopping for clothes. There was a table of jeans with one sign directly in center of table saying $19.99. Spent an hour finding one's I wanted and trying them on went to pay and they said the jeans I had we $37. I questioned it and they insisted the sale didn't apply to those jeans. I told them that is misleading and false advertising. They flat didn't care. I went through with rest of items and asked them to make sure I get the 25% off for using Penny's card. Once sale was done, they put receipt in bag and went to help someone else. I immediately checked the receipt bc it seemed high. Sure enough no 25% discount was applied. So I told her and she ripped the bag from my hands and dumped all the clothes onto the counter, some falling to floor. Canceled last sale and started ringing them up again. I asked what I did to deserve to be treated this way, and she said I was the one creating a head for her. Sad thing was she was the store manager. Horrible service from the very one who is suppose to set the example for the...
Read moreI hate to shop for men's slacks, but since there was a sale I decided to do it. I tried on about 20 pairs of dress slacks, and I ended up buying four pairs. They should have cost me $300.00, but with sale prices and discounts for using my J.C. Penney card, they cost me less than $100 taxes included! After trying them on again at home, I went back again today and bought another pair. One style and color I liked was not available in my size. The kind cashier offered to order it for me at the same price. These stylish slacks cost less than blue jeans, and they will look sharp with my new black wool car coat, my new brown leather jacket, or with just a nice shirt. They are washable and you do not have to iron them -- extra great for traveling. Now I have one of every color and for just about any occasion. My wife is thrilled because these slacjs are low maintenance; she will not need to iron them nor waste tome and money taking them to a dry cleaner. A bonus: I purchased slacks with flexible wastebands which will accommodate changes as my weight goes...
Read moreHated this experience, my mom and I went to purchase shorts and there was a couple in front of us in line paying for their items. The clerk stopped the transaction with those customers to tell my mom and I the line was to the left where we were standing which was on the whole other side of the clerk about 50 feet away. So no problem we apologized and went way over there behind the clerk and her station. Our turn comes up and of course another group of 4 customers stands directly behind us just as we did with the previous customers, the clerk said NOTHING to them. This made both my mom and I feel singled out, and very uncomfortable. I never take notice to race or how I see others get mistreated simply for the color of their skin because this is the world we live in no matter what. But this experience was racially charged to say the least. JCPENNY is where my family does almost all of our Christmas shopping and birthday shopping for our family however after being so mistreated by this clerk which is a representation of JCPENNY. we will not...
