Aviation Plaza — Attraction in Linden

This is the AMC I go to the most and it's okay. There is a lot of parking and, thankfully, the creeps who used to be in the parking lot or would be right outside the theater I haven't seen in years (I'm a dude and even I wouldn't like coming out a movie 9PM+ with someone asking me for things). With that said, the check in process is usually quick but then comes potential issues.

First and foremost, this place probably needs remodeling. At least a few times a year it seems there is a leak in the roof of the lobby, and there are buckets around. Also, the areas where you add salt or butter usually could use a touch up but, it isn't like any theater of this size is going to have an abundance of staff to keep things tidy. If you want that experience, AMC may not be for you.

That aside, the bathrooms are generally okay. There is usually paper towels, for the male bathroom, the urinal areas don't look like someone just peed on the floor to spite everyone else, there isn't a weird smell, and even if you have to use the bathroom for more time consuming reasons, you aren't angry at yourself for eating before showing up.

As for the movie experience? The chairs are unfortunately stadium seating and this is by no means a fancy theater. Compared to Mountainside and Edison, what Linden has going for it is having a IMAX and Dolby theater, but as for the other auditoriums? I won't say the seating is peeling, but with how long movies are getting, the non-premium seats aren't likely what you want.

Also, and note this was years ago, I did see a mouse. But, like with the creepy people who sometimes were outside the theater, that was years ago. The only active issues this site has is the leaking roof in the lobby a few times a year, and needing to update their seating in non-premium format theaters to compete better with Mountainside and Edison's...

As a over the road truck driver it is hard to find a place to park at times. After bringing a load to the power plant in Linden, I had started to look on Google maps for a place to grab a bite to eat and find my next load to haul. I observed there were trucks parking in the lot on the satellite image and decided to get something to eat at Applebee's. While inside the restaurant, I asked the waiter if they had problems with trucks parking in the parking lot or if there was a problem if I parked there. "Trucks do it all the time."

Afterwards, I headed back to the truck and went back to the sleeper to start looking for another load.

While looking for my next load I heard a police radio outside of the truck and decided to look out to see what was going on. I step out of the truck to be greeted with a $50 parking ticket and being told to leave the property.

It's unfortunate as a human to be treated as a criminal when there was more than ample room for vehicle's to park in the lot and I felt I was out of everybody's way.

Well Mr. Officer, I will pay the ticket but I promise I will stop delivering to the city of Linden due to the parking rules.

Still refuse to do loads to NJ do to bad truck parking and law enforcement only looking for revenue generation from hard working citizens.

It’s a great place because just in a little distance like 2 blocks away there’s Walmart, Dollar Tree, Burlington, Modells, Tj max and there’s actually more stuff. In the actual aviation plaza there’s western beef, as a dollar, frozen yogurt. In simple words there’s a variety of stores to go to and if you don’t like what’s there you can simply go to the next block. You will find parking easily and it’s free you don’t have to pay.
