I took a stihl weed eater to replace the primer bulb fuel and have it serviced. The Hispanic guy at the service desk seemed really nice and told me it would take about 2 weeks. After not hearing back on week 3, I called them to check the status only to be told the part was on back order and would take about 2 weeks. Again, I called back on week 3 and finally was told it would be ready the next day. I finished cutting my grass that morning and drove to pick up my weed eater, paid $123, drove home and I could not turn on the weed eater. I drove it back, and the service guy couldnât even turn it back on in front of me. He apologized and said heâd take another look and to come back for it during the week. Went back to pick it up the following Saturday and made sure they could turn it on in front of me before I left. Got home and couldnât keep the darn thing running for more than 3 minutes at a time. I called to make a complaint with the manager and decided not to deal with that store again. Finally took it to someone who repairs weed eaters and they took it apart, found the fuel lines were melted and parts inside were rusted. That person was not sure how it even turned on. I have included those pics here. I doubt the âservice guyâ ever took the thing apart to service it but I was still...
Read moreTook my weed eater and blower in for diagnostics and was charged $75. Was told it would cost $135 to fix my weed eater after their diagnosis. The weed eater was able to crank up before bringing it in just couldn't keep it running and I was hoping it just needed an adjustment. I was told that they didn't even try to adjust it because I already did prior to dropping it off and they are not allowed to. They are allowed to take your money though. So, I was charged $35 for them not to look at it. Then my blower. The guy on the phone told my it needed a carburetor. When I went to pick it up another guy told me it had a cracked cylinder. I explained to him that I was told other wise over the phone. He said well, it could be either. He said that these come out of the box running lean and I explained that I did my research and was aware and was hoping he could just tune it up. He didn't know what was wrong with the blower. All in all I gave them $75 to tell me I needed new equipment. I went on Amazon ordered a new carburetor for both for $30 and now they are both running. Find a local repair shop and don't waist your time with a company that just want to take your money and make you but...
Read moreWent to the store for an electric heater at the beginning of November. They didnât have it in stock, so we paid for the item to have it ordered & shipped to the store for later pick up. Transaction went through. They got our contact info. All was good.
After two weeks, nothing. We called the store & were told the heater had not arrived yet.
Now over a month later, we called again. Was told it was not on that dayâs truck, but it shows it was shipped to the store & should be there tomorrow. This was two days ago. And again. Nothing.
Today we called for the THIRD time. The girl that answered could not find anything under the name or phone number even though the previous two calls had our information.
At this point, we flat out told them to forget it & we are now disputing the charge with our bank to get a refund.
Clearly this store doesnât keep good records, nor do they have any follow through with orders placed. The situation is made worse by the fact we drove in from out of town just to place our order. Needless to say, we will not be shopping...
