I stopped going recently due to on going maintenance issues. May give it a try again in the future but the club needs a lot of improvement. They need management to step it up hire plumbers asap, staff need to address cleanliness issues throughout the location and especially locker room areas. There is also a lot of members who hang out in the parking lot before and after workouts and smoke and stink up the locker room and lockers. It’s really become more and more disappointing lately since it’s a busy season for gyms and the basketball court opened up so it has gotten busier with more subsequent maintenance problems in the locker room as well including the water fountain, urinals, toilets etc. the urinal issues have gone on for weeks. The vents are all clogged in the locker rooms adding to the smell issues, wasting money on HVAC costs for the business, and the floors are usually very dirty. I don’t know how anyone including the staff can tolerate it. The toilets clog up and they just go unaddressed for days. They also don’t have proper attachments for cables. Other than that the gym itself is fine with good equipment, layout, and not too many issues with machines not working. Most members are friendly and it’s a pretty big club. Although members tend to leave the weights strewn around and don’t always re-rack…As for the staff I really wish they paid attention to cleaning. They don’t lift a finger to clean the messes of weights, locker room, or even seem to care enough when a major spill or trash pile up occurs…takes hours and sometimes days for one of the dedicated cleaners to address. This makes no sense. The business model of staff just sitting around and occasionally selling a membership is not customer centric. Having just 1-2 dedicated cleaners is not efficient. 90% of staff are not productive. Either hire more cleaners or get everyone to help out, expand the front desk job duties to require cleaning….or the manager needs to figure it out and lead by example and clean up the place. Why they continue this operational method of putting locker room cleaning and general maintenance to a couple of staff and the rest basically sitting at a desk all day is beyond me…Anyone can figure out pricing of a membership or just look it up online. Keep the club clean so members don’t quit.

6/22/2024 - I came in today, when doors opened at 8am and the same disaster again. Weights everywhere. I will be sending corporate more photos on a monthly basis until this improves! Or until I find a new gym… 4/21/2024 I am writing to express my disappointment with the conditions I encountered at the LA Fitness gym location this morning. Upon arriving at 8:00 am (the time they officially open), I had hoped to find a clean and organized environment for my workout, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The weight area was in complete disarray, with weights strewn across the floor and nothing reracked. This lack of organization is completely unacceptable, especially considering the monthly membership fees that customers like myself pay. However, I must commend the cleaning staff who were diligently at work despite the chaos around them. Their hard work and dedication deserve recognition, and I believe they deserve commendation and perhaps even a raise for their efforts. I don’t believe they are responsible for putting the weights away and are just responsible for cleaning. That being said, it is evident that there is a significant issue with the management and closing crew at this location and apparently all nearby La Fitness. There seems to be a lack of consideration for the customers who rely on this facility for their fitness needs. It is disheartening to see such a beautiful gym being let down by poor management practices. I urge LA Fitness corporate to take action to rectify these issues asap. Specifically, I recommend LA fitness hire dedicated overnight crews to ensure that the gym is properly maintained and cleaned before opening hours. Additionally, it is crucial to hold all staff members accountable for their responsibilities, as I have observed instances where certain individuals are not fulfilling their duties. Until these issues are addressed and resolved, I intend to document and share monthly photos of the gym's condition with corporate management. It is my hope that by bringing attention to these concerns, positive changes can be implemented to restore the quality and reputation of this LA Fitness location. Members also need to respect other members and put your weights away as well. We are all adults! (I would hope to believe…)

If you want to enroll in that gym because you need the kids club service, I recommend that you look for another gym because the one at LA Fitness Lodi is always dirty, it has a carpet that I imagine has never been cleaned taking into account that it must be an area that should be cleaner than any other because they are children and babies who are in that area and since it is the opposite, the baby swing and the 2 baby bouncers are always dirty and I asked the manager of the morning shift and his answer was that I would not wash them because their bosses were not going to pay for it, he literally told me "I know that is not the answer you want to hear but it is the answer I have", yesterday I went to the gym in the afternoon shift and the kids club was a disaster, there were 6 uncontrollable big children screaming and my 9-month-old baby, I had to leave 20 minutes after checking because the poor girl who was taking care of them could not control them all and my baby was crying, I let known the manager of the afternoon shift that the girl, despite doing her job well, needs help because there are many children and older. So my husband and I are paying a family membership plus the 2 additional fees for our children and it is very difficult to use the gym if we are concerned about the condition of the place where our children are cared for, it is frustrating, I do not recommend this gym.

There are a lot of things wrong with this gym.. I signed up for a 3 guest pass and was prompted to sign up upon walking in. I've never had to sign up to use a guest membership at any gym. They take your info down and hope you don't contact them within the 3 days to charge you. I called the night prior to them charging the membership fees and was told I had to come before 5pm. You're telling me I can sign up after 5pm but you can't cancel before 5pm? Probably because their managers are in and they want to "close" deals. Predatory sales tactics at a gym is just ridiculous. They run their sales team like it's a car dealership. Fast forward to my guest pass expiring, I had locked my card to prevent the $180 membership charge. I called to see if I can remove the -$180 balance on my "membership". My sales rep told me I can be refunded that amount within 3 days of the charge. Upon calling, the person on the phone stated it would automatically cancelled and to cancel my card to prevent further charges. I wanted to make sure that balance was gone since I wanted to cancel. I stated I just wanted to be sure I would not go to collection and for my "balance" to be $0. It was difficult to be assured because every time she finished her statements with "I guess". so NOW I have to go through and cancel a card because it cannot be removed? The card would be charged every so often for the $180 that never went through? If I was informed that I would be refunded $180 if I were charged and cancelled why wouldn't my balance be 0? The girl on the phone couldn't figure this math out and she placed me on a hold. She never made it back to the phone and disconnected. Hopefully using the time to calculate the math. Let me break it down, if $180 membership fee did not charge my card = balance of $180 with LA Fitness with recurring payments attempting to collect; if $180 membership charges my card and I request a refund = Balance of $0 on my LA Fitness and its cancelled an no attempts to collect. Now for the gym itself. This was probably the dirtiest gym in the area. I have been to a lot of the gyms in the area. Strong & Shapely, Retro Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Golds Gym, Quest Fitness, and Planet Fitness. (all never made me sign up upon using a guest pass). This gym is just over populated since basically anyone can bring a guest pass. The equipment is so dangerously close to each other. You literally can't walk past certain areas due to someone working out right in the middle of the path! I can't blame the members just because the equipment is poorly placed. The cables machines by the big window, I'm referring to in this case. No one wipes down their equipment, barbells/plates are scattered everywhere, it smells like trash in there, piss all over the toilet seats. Overall, horrible experience at this gym. I recommend their Clifton location, but their Lodi one is a piece of work. This gym stinks...

I recently had the opportunity to visit LA Fitness Lodi and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. This facility truly deserves a solid 5-star rating.

First and foremost, the cleanliness and organization of the gym were top-notch. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff members who were diligently cleaning and maintaining the equipment and the facility. It was evident that they prioritize a clean and safe environment for their members, which is crucial especially during these times.

The variety and quality of the equipment available were impressive. No matter what part of the body I wanted to work on, there was a wide selection of machines and free weights to choose from. Everything was well-maintained and in excellent condition, ensuring a smooth and effective workout every time. Additionally, the gym layout was well-planned, allowing ample space for all members to exercise comfortably without feeling crowded.

The staff at LA Fitness Lodi truly go above and beyond to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. From the front desk to the personal trainers, everyone was approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping me achieve my fitness goals. They provided me with expert guidance and advice, easing any concerns I had and motivating me to push myself further. The positive energy and encouragement from the staff were invaluable.

Another highlight of this gym is the wide range of fitness classes they offer. Whether you're into high-intensity workouts or prefer something more relaxing like yoga or Pilates, there is a class for everyone. The instructors are highly trained and passionate about their craft, ensuring each session is engaging, challenging, and enjoyable. Participating in these classes not only helped me diversify my routine but also allowed me to connect with other members who share similar fitness interests.

Lastly, the amenities at LA Fitness Lodi are exceptional. The locker rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with showers, saunas, and toiletries. This provides convenience for those who like to freshen up after a rigorous workout session. The hours of operation are also very convenient, accommodating early birds and night owls alike.

In conclusion, my experience at LA Fitness Lodi was outstanding in every aspect. From the cleanliness and organization of the facility to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, it is evident that this gym truly cares about their members' well-being and success. With a wide selection of equipment, top-notch fitness classes, and excellent amenities, LA Fitness Lodi undoubtedly deserves a well-deserved 5-star rating. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to take their fitness journey to...

I have been coming here for 6 months. I Have been giving this place a chance but honestly i dont think standards are up to par with what they charge monthly. They have different options at signing up so you either pay $35-$50 a month plus yearly fees and sign up fees. For that prices i expect simple things like paper and disinfectant to be accessible. I cannot even count the amount of times i have come to this gym at different times of the day and find that all disinfectant dispensers are completely empty. They provide disinfectant liquid so that we can clean the machines ourselves, its not like the gym is in charge of cleaning machines after each use. So how am i supposed to clean a filthy machine that someone just sweat on with empty disinfectant dispensers?…. I am very upset about not being able to work out because the machines are dirty and i cant clean them because they dont bother refilling anything. Im sorry but to be paying $35-$50 monthly this doesn't seem right. I also want to add that all their front desk staff are teenagers maybe in their 16-18 age range that can never resolve anything. All they do is say they will tell a manager and never do anything about anything. They dont even greet you or acknowledge you upon arriving. Its like anyone can just walk in without signing in because the teenage staff is too busy on their cellphones. I have also noticed equipment going weeks even 2 months without being fixed or replaced. Again for a gym of this standard i expect at least the basics. I would kind of understand this type of bad service at a gym of a lower standard that people only pay $10-$20 monthly but this place is double the price and not even keeping up with disinfectant dispensers which with covid should be the very minimum they could do. I am writing this review based on my experience on the past 6 months that i have been coming and analyzing it.

Today was the worse of all because i went to the front desk to ask for them to please refill the disinfectant or to please provide me with some and she hands me a bottle that even looked different in color and when i went to the machine to clean it, i realized i had gotten pure bleach all over my hands, clothes and machine. How does the front desk staff think its okay to hand me pure bleach and not even tell me. I quickly went downstairs again and told the front desk girl that she handed me pure bleach and she said sorry and brushed it off and still did nothing to resolve. She even directed me to sales rep instead of simply handling the situation which was simply providing the proper disinfectant for the gym...
